I feel pretty confident in saying that Olive Garden's food is the best example of Italian cuisine in America, outside of mom and pop places where the chefs were born and trained in Italy. Like. If you don't like OG food, you'll be vastly disappointed by a visit to italy.

Most of their top chefs and recipe makers are trained in Tuscany. And their ingredients are some of the best in the business.

Carrabbas is delicious, especially that bread. I won't deny that.

I don't feel bad for them and I would go there by choice unless they have a good deal going. There are much better Italian places, but like if my parents pick it and they're paying I don't mind going

I don't know if I've ever been to Carraba's. Ok get it confused with Johnny Carrino's though. Carrino's is pretty good

I was very surprised by this revelation after spending so much time in Italy, honestly. But yeah. Most Italian places that are considered better are really doing bad bastardization of Italian recipes.

Yes Carrabba's is better but it's also more expensive. You go to OG for the price mainly not necessarily the quality

Another odd thing about American Italian? So much focus on red sauces. I'd say 80% of what I ate over there were white sauces.

Discovered Breaking The Magician's Code on Netflix today so now I'm watching that.

I remember these specials as a kid coming on TV and loved every minute of it. I'm a big fan of Magic
