Our generation definitely is winging it.

This is very accurate. I'm glad I'm winging it in a decent position, but fuck, losing half a check each month to student loans is destroying me

Half the time I feel like I'm failing since I'm still living at my moms house. All my friends are moved out and I'm stuck here because my dumb ass went to college and had to take loans out

It's wild to think back to when all my older cousins were graduating from college in the early 2000's. They ALL immediately fell into these fantastic jobs..like 50-60k a year starting. Us? I'm finally feeling like I'm getting somewhere, and I'm truly grateful.

I may cry the first time I get a pay check that makes me feel like an adult. Still not seen one.

That's not failing man. The stigma regarding that is absolute bullshit.

I still live with family too. I definitely understand the feeling, though mine is for different reasons (my dumb ass decided to leave my job and move halfway across the state to make a shitty relationship work, then had to come back).

My last relationship screwed me money wise too. I moved in with her and was the only source of income because she couldn't keep a job, and it caused me to not be able to save a dime. Wish I could take that time back, but it made me a better person today and more in tune with myself.

My ex used to degrade me about not wanting to move out of my parents house. I was making $13 an hour getting the shit kicked out of me at a residential treatment facility for youths and she was a waitress. She broke up with me over not wanting to move out...years later...guess who owns a home, turd.

I live in my mom's basement. She technically owns my twelve year old car. I did pay off my student loans, though. That was helpful.

Yeah, it's the only way to be able to be sane and look at the experiences we go through really. It was a rough last year, but it made me stronger mentally and made me understand that I can't force and try to fix some things.

I couldn't care less about my student loans. Met with 3 different financial advisors...each one was like..fuck it. Pay that shit off at your own pace hahah.

I'm almost debt free which is nice.

I honestly feel like, for the first time, I'm not winging it. I think I'm, dare I say it, settled down?
