i did real bad on my stat exam last week. i barely passed and now im starting to freak out about this semester a little bit. the last part of the exam was worth 30 points and he didn't tell us until he handed it back. i barely worked on the second part because it was the only thing i didn't know how to do and didn't remember it from any homework or any textbook reading. i looked in the text book, and none of it is in the chapters the exam was on. im going to fight it, but knowing that others got the section correct i know its going to be real difficult to get something changed.

 

Maybe the most bizarre moment in class I ever witnessed was a guy raising his hand, the professor calling on him, and then him asking, in complete sincerity, "May I be blunt?"

The three-five seconds between that and the professor saying "...yes" were some of the most uncomfortable of my life

 

Honestly, knowing *how* to write a paper is infinitely more important than being fluent on the content you're writing about. And once you know how it's like clockwork. So many of my papers are written the day before / day of, and I've rarely scored below a B /nothumblebrag

 

So I have this health comm. class and the whole semester we have all of these little assignments about a research topic of our choice. I just realized there is no paper we have to write, we're making a website about our topic. I knew we were gonna have to make a website, but I thought that was in addition to/ a summation of the research from our paper. It's just really annoying, honestly. I'd much rather have just been given the syllabus and have it say that there is a 10 page research paper due at the end of the semester. Would be waaaaay easier.

it's six am, i haven't slept, essay due at 11, test in the class right after. i'm cutting it real close today, i guess im wondering how far i can push it before this approach blows up in my face lol

 

I've been on Spring Break this week and have a 20 page paper due the first week of May that I keep blowing off. I was going to do it during this week, but I have to do all of the job applications and some other things and have only gotten 2 pages of the thing written. Looks like I ain't getting it done until the day before lol.

 

A 20 page paper due in 5 weeks? I have a 10 paper due in 1 week so I guess it balances out that we're in the same boat

 

I succeeded in both essay and test and have been asleep ever since

 

Normally, I start an essay the night before it's due, but I've finally decided to maximize the output of my productivity and change my ways. Today for example, I've learned that starting an essay the day that it's due works just as well. No more procrastinating hours in the night prior. Instead, I was able to watch a rad movie

 

I love everything about this post, just wanted you to know

 

Also I have a job now so let's see how I balance school and being a server let's watch my personal Happiness plummet

 

Last week I got off work and stayed up until 5am to prepare for my history midterm. Then I woke up at 8 and studied until I had to take the test. Last night I got off work at 4am and got up around 8 to study for my stats midterm today. I want to sleep for like 9 days straight

 

That's noble, man. I can never really have more than one big day in a row, I'm a wuss

 

Thankfully this was a week apart, but with work kicking my ass it's felt non stop. I go on vacation on the 7th though and it happens to be spring break, I didn't even plan that

 

I'm on spring break but it'll be spent alternately working and reading because I have 2-3 essays due on my return and I can't do three in a day no matter how much I think I could

 

Godddd, why can't professors just let spring break be a break lol

 

Professor emails us about 2 weeks ago telling us there will be an online mid term today going live at 6am. I emailed him back right away telling him that I was going to be away, would have almost no time at all to do this, and would have spotty internet at best and asked if I could take it a few days earlier. He said no and told me to find a library. I was on at 6 am this morning, its 8:27 now and still no exam. What the fuck.

 

i would be ripshit even if it wasn't saturday morning. wtf? everything about that is weird and bad

 

I emailed him earlier basically saying what the fuck, but he's so bad with emails I doubt I get one back today. This is ridiculous.

 

I feel like there's enough bad professors to single handedly ruin the college experience for a lot of people. Which is an alright experience I guess idk. Sorry about that, hope you get a good grade

 

Teachers who are poor at their jobs, let alone negligent or unresponsive, honestly disgust me. They have a responsibility to inspire, and despite being such a competitive field, it's so sad to see some of the professors that are taking a spot from someone who actually has a sincere passion to teach
