Hmm, i think Hey I'm Sorry was written pre-feldmann. I think they mentioned that in an interview/Mark's podcast or something.

 

I hope that isn't the case as much as I want Blink to keep making music I love Trio too. Maybe he'll work on Trio before they go in or after

 

there's no reason for Blink to get back into the studio by the end of this year. Unless they're recording a whole album this winter so Matt can have the spring/summer with Alk3, and then they release the album next fall or something.

 

You could be right. Too much to keep track of haha

 

Really can't see how that will work, maybe if they write an EP or something but it's not looking good for the Trio right now. Even if they did a quick album it doesn't sound like there would be any time to tour.

 

How crazy is it that we actually have too much Blink material and news to keep track of?! What a beautiful era, haha.

 

Alkaline Trio are not finished. There was an interesting podcast recently with Matt where he discussed it. Right now he's doing Blink and the other dudes are doing their thing. They'll be back when it's right.

 

Can't see why blink would sit out the summer instead of having another massive tour. Sounds like if blink gets into the studio at the end of the year we're looking at another Juneish release.

 

Can hear more of a Trio sound on Misery! Really like it. Also nice to hear Mark sing lower on one in a more comfortable range.

 

So this is apparently a single. Can probably do okay on alt. radio. It's possible that Mark's, to some ears dull, verse (i personally love it), will prevent it from being a real hit.

It truly is beautiful. One of the best written pieces since Matt joined.

 

It's a beautiful time, seeing my favorite band active in ways unheard of in the past decade.

 

Yeah I realllllly like this one. I always liked the moodier blink songs and the trio / self titled influence is sick.

 

Knowing that there's going to be little to no time for Matt to do ALK3 really sucks

Misery is great! So different, I like it a lot!

 

Man, Mark really doesn't want to go home does he. Says so at least 4 times between California and the deluxe

 

I always wonder how long Matt is going to do music full-time as it is. On that Gabrielle Reece podcast, he said he can't do what Mark and Travis do with family on the road, like he doesn't want to start one until that can be his focus.

I won't assume Trio is done until I hear otherwise though. Trio and blink have respectively always been my 1-2 for almost 20 years so it's so conflicting with me loving blink this much for the first time in like a decade but Trio being inactive. Mark and Matt together is my dream so overall I have to say personally I'm like really happy right now.

 

I love a lot of Alkaline Trio's songs but i'm not a huge fan of them in the sense that i'm not the kind of fan that's craving for updates and new music from them. However, what leaves a bad taste in my mouth is that Matt could do a "Tom" on hardcore Trio fans (that some of you seem to be) and completely start focus on one of his bands, without acknowledging his other band and it's fans. That would indeed suck.

 

And on Shut Up as well lol

 

In "Shut Up" too. I really wish he'd push himself more lyrically.

 

Cynical, Bored to Death, San Diego, Misery, Hey I'm Sorry would be a dope EP

 

that guitar tone is gross imo. As for the song it doesn't sound that great. Mark singing that low doesn't sound good.
Skiba sounds pretty good though.
