depending what your weekend night plans are you could swing by bleacher bar, they have a window that they open up that opens out to fenway's outfield

House of blues and Cask N Flagon is also only two buildings down from bleacher bar

Loretta's Last Call is near there, too. Country bar, live music most nights. Moonshine!

  4. Not super familiar with Cleveland Circle nightlife but Somerville has a couple great breweries -- Aeronaut and Slumbrew -- if you're into beer. Davis Square also has a lot of good restaurants/bars.

edit: actually, I do know that The Publick House is supposed to be a really great restaurant/bar near Cleveland Circle if you're looking for a place to eat.

It's touristy but there is no denying that Mike's Pastry in the North End is fucking amazing if you like cannoli

  6. Modern Pastry is also fantastic and usually has a much shorter line than Mike's.

From Cleveland Circle you should head the mile down commonwealth ave to BC and get burritos at El Pelon. Also I would recommend pizza at Pino's which you should be within a three min walk of. For going out it depends what you're looking for. If you're looking to get drunk and dance I'd go to Allston and go to Common Ground or Fenway area and go to Lansdowne Pub. Both are t accessible from Cleveland Circle. If you just want to grab beers and chill you would probably dig Harry's on comm ave for more standard fare or Publick House in Brookline for a good beer list.

From Somerville, your best bets are the Burren if you want a band and party atmosphere, Foundry for something more relaxed, or Saloon for cocktails. Night Shift Brewery is also about a 10-15$ uber and is a really cool spot with a lot of interesting beers, free arcades, a food truck, and cornhole. And if you are a big beer person I'd stop in Trillium (near south station) on Friday/Saturday to grab bottles as their stuff is very top of the heap.

Sox are also home all weekend and would be worth scalping tickets for if you're into that and haven't been to Fenway. For touristy stuff the north end and common are cool, fanueil hall is largely a trap.

  8. Bova's Bakery is also worth checking out, it's open 24/7. I love their Peanut Butter cannoli.

Also, Harpoon Brewery is always great.

Harpoon is def worth a visit. The homemade soft pretzels alone are worth it

  13. it would be super cool if everyone would take off their backpacks on the T. maybe its because like every school in the city is on the green line but it seems like everyone has a backpack and no one takes it off. you take up like 3x more space than you would otherwise bro please stop it

I don't need to take the T often, but when I do, it really helps me appreciate how little I need to use it, haha

I used to have to take the Green (B) line every day. There is no greater hell.

  22. E for me, which at the time I felt was worse because it seemed like there'd be one E train for five of every other line.

I've only had to take the green line a handful of times. It made me thankful that I usually only have to take the redline everywhere.

Didn't see this but in addition to what everyone else said, if you get to Harvard Square go to Armageddon Records; awesome punk/metal record selection. Then see if there are any shows at The Sinclair. Maybe you can get tix to a Bruins ga--- oh wait...
