So the issues aren't game breaking?

 

I have heard of bugs that break quests, which sometimes means you can never finish some side quest and sometimes means you can't progress at all unless you reload. I haven't had one of those yet though. I've encountered mainly graphical bugs. I do think it's still a really fun game. I spent a whole play session yesterday just talking to crew members and it made me remember why I love Mass Effect so much.

I think it's mainly because it's not as good as the first? Idk, I had fun with it.

 

I'll be all up in there when I start playing it next Tuesday.. just been avoiding pre-release info after first trailer.

 

This week wait for P5 is going to feel like an eternity

Yeah, I've avoided everything I could since, uh, maybe the first major gameplay trailer? It's probably been a couple years. FWIW the thread is 100% safe from any sort of spoilers, it's like half me posting how excited I am. I get being cautious though, I have carefully avoided any info for so long I'm not going to risk anything a week out. Hell, I was too scared to search for pictures to spruce up the thread a little bit.

 

One of the few remaining big budget, turn based console JRPGs left. Anime school sim during the day, turn based dungeon crawler at night with a dose of Pokemon monster collecting thrown in there, all wrapped in a (well, can't speak for 5 but from the rest of the series) great story often with surprisingly mature and nuanced themes for a JRPG and one of the most stylish aesthetics in video games. You spend a lot of time really getting to know your cast of characters, who often start off as anime cliches but evolve into much more. It might not sound like everyone's thing but it has an undeniable charm to it and a way of winning nearly everyone over, it's really an incredible series.

oh ya im going in with a guide. I've heard enough of his older games to know what im getting into, so im hoping it wont be too bad. Gonna start with Nier, then if i enjoy that enough go back and do the drakkengard games.

Played a few hours of Destiny, mainly finishing vanilla campaign. Actually had a lot of fun. Excited to give Taken King a shoot when I get to that level.
