yeah, we're planning on going there too. I meant more as in we're definitely gonna try to get a hotel around the French Quarter. sorry if my post was confusing (they usually are). if you have any cool restaurant recs, I would love to hear them. and if there's anything else that's fun to do besides drink, eat, go to a zoo or shopping, that would help too.

the Cajun food Ive had that I hate was just like 2 pounds of creole seasoning per 1 ounce of food. I hate crawish boil.

I'll message you a list of recs soon! There's a surprising amount to do besides eat and drink.

There's so many: boudin, red beans and rice, jambalaya, andouille, crawfish of course.

And no one should go to New Orleans without eating a muffuletta.

 

I don't know, I've never been there besides driving through.

 

Well all that stuffs great! just not into crawfish. Never had boudin though and I gotta google it.

 

you also have to get a beignet from cafe du monde, and don't call it a bangy as I once heard and I think about constantly

 

that's why I say I don't know what to expect, I don't want to be super touristy, but kinda, yeah. hard to find a balance
