I really want to get it. Sort of waiting for some type of sale, but I may not be able to hold out that long.

 

I love how they even tracked Billy Hamilton's home run trot. I get that some stats are more for fun then actually analysis but that's a little ridiculous.

 

I don't have PS4 but Xbox needs to bring back MVP Baseball. MVP 2005 was my jam. I was actually playing Griffey Jr Slugfest on N64 over the weekend. Still tops!

 

Definitely one of the more frivolous things to track. I've been following this account for years.

 

Their home uniforms have always said Braves to my knowledge. Same with the road uniforms saying Atlanta.

 

So... When did the Orioles become so freaking dominant?

 

Weird, something looks different to me. Maybe I just imagined that.

 

Betances and Miller struck out 5 of the 7 batters they faced. That's just silly.

 

On paper, they don't look very good. Outside of Machado and Adam Jones, I don't get it. Whatever Showalter is doing seems to work, though.

 

Yeah, I was expecting this team to a total goddamn tire fire this year. I mean, I still think they will end up being that despite the 7-0 start, but they've been a pleasant surprise thus far. They're gonna have to outscore a lot of their problems with this pitching staff, though.

 

Yeah I can't figure it out. I can't even blame it on the Red Sox bullpen being mediocre-to bad either, because Baltimore was playing well before this series!

 

I disagree. Rickard and Trumbo are killing it as well. Hardy had a few great hits tonight as well.

 

Yeah Hardy basically won the game for them.

 

Two home runs hugging the pole! Gotta love it.

 

Hoping it's a sign that JJ will have a bounce-back year and not just small-sample fairydust. Rickard making the team out of nowhere and being this productive is also a surprise, but I'm enjoying the ride while it lasts.

 

I mean I don't want to live it cause I love my Sox, but two homers to the exact same spot...pretty impressive.

Even though the doc have lost both games, it's been a fun series to watch offensively.

 

That's the rough part about being a baseball fan, knowing that all good streaks will eventually come to an end. Who knows though? I think Baltimore will stay one of the top teams in the division.

 

New Angels pickups coming through now. Escobar's been great in the lead off and Soto just had a go ahead 2HR in the top of the ninth.

 

Feel bad that I haven't posted much in here since the season started, life got busy and I haven't had much time to watch many games. Been lurking like crazy in here though.

 

This sounds awesome. Its surprising MLB hasn't thought of something like this on their own.

 

Man, Griffey Jr Slugfest was awesome. I had a blast playing that game. Hitting homeruns felt so rewarding in that game.

 

Not to derail the thread, so I am hoping this is just a short conversation. I have been debating on getting MLB The Show 16. I have '15 and was wondering if its worth the upgrade.

 

my calm tone on the mets might change drastically in 15 hours. fair warning.

 

They did some cool new stuff with the camera. The hitting camera default is a fish eye now. That took some adjusting but overall I think allows for better judgment on high and low pitches.

RTTS is as fun as it ever was. Biggest change they made there is you can now play all the games in a series without ever going back to the RTTS menu screen which makes seasons go by way faster.

I always play a bunch of Franchise mode but haven't found too many significant changes there.

 

MLB 16 is amazing. The game looks fantastic and I'm eager to jump more into RTTS once the OSFM rosters get released.

So far the biggest thing for me is Diamond Dynasty. I'm not big on playing online, but they added a fun "offline" component to DD called Conquest, which has been really cool. They've also added missions and captains, which are both good ways to get XP, but also unlock really good legend or flashback players.

In short, I think it's worth the upgrade. If you have any questions, I'd be more than happy to answer. I've been playing MLB 16 a lot since I got it on launch day.
