Okay, I will admit this looks like a team that could lose 110 games this season.

The game is in a good place and will be for a while. With the likes of Trout, Harper, Correa, Stanton, Machado, Hernandez, Cutch, Bryant and others playing, we are in for a real treat.

Love Correa too. Must watch. The game when Correa hit two homers but the Yanks won big was perfect for me. His bomb to center was crazy. 114 mph off his bat. That's insane

Incredible how much better Dusty is than Matt Williams. I don't think Williams made a single double switch in two years.

Why oh why can't the Sox put together a good bull pen...

Add Goldschmidt to that list, too. He may be the next person to get to 60 home runs.
I'm so happy that people look at bat speed and how impressive it is now. Last time anyone really cared was when McGwire and Sosa were chasing Maris.

Haha even if that happens I wouldn't say told you so. My good friend is a die-hard Braves fan and I feel bad for him. I certainly don't wish that on this team.

I just want to say that I absolutely love statcast data and that we can track things such as exit velocity and launch angle and everything

I just realized the Braves uniforms say Atlanta now. Did they change all of them to the city name?

Yanks up 3-2 in the bottom 8. Let's see this bullpen do what it's supposed to! Hitting against Betances must be frightening.

Yeah some stats get to be a little much for me (cue the ol Kurkjian "he's hitting .750 after the 7th inning on the road against left-handed pitchers born before June" joke, love Kurkjian though haha) but it helps you appreciate the talent for sure. I mean 114 mph off the bat, I've never heard a speed like that. I'm curious to know the record for that since they've recorded it.

I'd love to know which intern is responsible for pulling those obscure stats. How do I get access to that database?

Seeing how much ground outfielders cover and their speed is pretty awesome too.

I actually kinda like the look of Ramirez. Seems like he can be a solid middle man.

In the statcast era, Giancarlo Stanton holds the record. He has two at 120 MPH, but I think he has one before statcast that was like 121 MPH or so.

I was watching a Dodgers game a week ago and Nomar Garciparra was talking about how he doesn't need to see the exit velocity to know that a guy hits the ball hard. I was like "... how obtuse can you be??" Of course we can see that a ball was hit hard, but how hard?? Also, pretty sure harder hitting is related to a higher BABIP, which is always good.
