AFAIK not currently isn't something we tend to use over here regularly as a phrase... my logic is there's probably some legal reason behind wording it that way.

oh haha, that difference was my assumption when you pointed it out, which sent me down a rabbit hole of learning about the differences.

Like, (and I mean this 100% sincerely, not trying to bring politics into this) whoever is filling in (I'd assume their drum tech or someone) doesn't have a visa.

 

I'm pleased with their response. It seems like it was logistically difficult to figure things out and I'll give them the benefit of the doubt per the delay.

Nice to see them taking some action but still concerned about the allegations regarding the singer.

 

Like that statement is bear minimum what that had to do/release. They've not really addressed what the issue was, totally ignored the other allegations and taken ages to release this statement. Plus from what I've read they've been ok about this for quite a while and only addressed it since it's blown up.

Fuck that shit about taking too long to post a statement. Like they could easily have put out a message saying "we're aware of the current allegations surrounding our band, a formal statement will be coming soon" rather than just ignoring it and deleting comments.

Sorry, that's irrelevant. Addressing the allegations is extremely important, especially given they're of a similar nature to the ones they've just kicked someone out of the band for. Waiting for proof is fine and it's unwise to jump to any conclusions when it's unclear but, true or false, they should be addressing the accusations against Eddy too. That's not "crucifying" him - that's the mature and correct response.

 

Honestly, if Eddy just came out and said "I acted poorly and I'd like to apologise" (only obviously more fleshed out) then I would say I'm happy with their response to this.

 

What are the allegations against Eddy? I'm not completely caught up with all this yet

Objectively looking at it, the band is nowhere near finished. We might not want to admit it, but sadly the amount of people who both know about this, and care, is a drop in the ocean.
