This is a dumb idea but it sounds hilarious to me but

Why don't you print off your books and make like a fake hard cover and bring them to Barnes and Noble and just be like "Hello I'd like to return these"

Or "Hello I'm selling these used books to be in stock"

 

it'd be lacking the one important thing it needs for the con to work: an isbn.
