nah. she got me promoted faster than associates typically get. and she totally used me as cougar bait to sell more things. i have a shameless (shameful?) ability to flirt with older women when it comes to sales.

    2011 (student): Me + 6 guys, 19 girls
    2012 (intern): me + 4 guys, 12 girls
    2013 (intern): me, 18 girls
2015 (fun trip): me and my buddy ethan

Edit: I thought you quoted my Europe one because I'm dumb. We had one guy hired around the same time as me, but he left shortly thereafter. Then we had one per holiday season. One more came right as I left.

    I kinda had this too.

Also one time when I was riding out with a police officer we got a call in an elderly community and the officer would always give me shit and tell me to go knock on a door and flirt with them lol

I got the job working in the stock room between those two internship semesters for the Christmas break (paid for my trip to Prague and Budapest on Spring Break) and I did such a good job organizing and whatever they kept the position open for me until I got back from Italy. I was a manager a few months after that. Never bothered me to be the only guy, and the women I worked with became like family. They all got super protective of me and vice versa. None of us work there anymore, but we still go out to eat like once every few months.

Haha was gonna say, that's alot lol.

Only reason I ask is cuz I don't think I've ever seen a male worker at a B&BW. I can only imagine the questions you'd be asked being the only guy

Yeah. I constantly heard "I don't think I've ever seen a guy in here before." And then when they'd say, "May I speak to a manager?" And I'd be like, "Yes?" And they'd say, "No, a woman. She knows more about this sort of thing." I'd mentally be like, "I did not suffer through 22 hours of product training for this bullshit."

But now I'll go in to buy something and former customers will ask me stuff over workers already there and complain how they don't know shit.

Most of the guys I know who work there around here are gay. Just kinda rolled with however people felt like treating me. My coworkers were the only ones that mattered and being gay isn't a bad thing. I have a ring and I wore it on my ring finger, though, and on those days I was treated better. And when I told stories about "my girlfriend" or "my wife" liking this or that scent. Kinda shitty I had to do that, but whatever.

The job paid well and I was able to use it to pay off one school loan and help fund a trip to Europe. Don't regret it, even if it ended in a clusterfuck (bad management re-organization over company, really).

In HS I was in Police Explorers and if train with Officers and ride out with them and what not. We'd go all over Texas(and even Arizona) for competitions and such. Planned to be in Law Enforcement out of College but that fell through.

I was THE accountant for a Collection Agency (which no longer exists) right out of College, then moved on to Oil & Gas Accounting after I realized that company was going under. I got laid off a few years ago when O&G shit the bed. Currently doing Sales Tax for a restaurant company. I'm happy and plan to be here forever haha!

ah you got one of them economically useful degrees, good on you. happy to hear you've found a good job you like, though! that's key. and yeah, O&G being regulated in new ways during the Obama years really hurt my aunt and uncle out in New Mexico.

    Thanks man!

Funnily enough I originally was a Forensic Chem major but wanted to Double with ACCT but they told me nah. Once I realized O-Chem kicked my ass I changed to Acct and the rest is history.

What's also funny is I Lettered in Accounting in HS. ONLY one in my class

I would have graduated two yrs ago if I hadn't switched majors. Oh well. Getting BS in CS, a BS in SE, math minor focusing on set theory, graph theory. Also taken like 4 grad courses, so I'll prob get my masters in a few years. It'll only take 2 sems to finish. But I might not.

English Literature. Writing, Creative Writing, and Bible minors. I should've double-majored in Spanish; I was one class from a minor, but it was only offered while I was in Italy and I wasn't giving that up.
