I just love that there's 2 guitar parts again, despite them being pretty basic. I think that's one of the things that bothered me most about Resurrection, a lot of the songs just sounded empty.

 

And the production was shit

 

Resurrection was just dull.

 

I love the production on the new track.

 

Respectfully disagree. Resurrection might be my third favourite of theirs. Loved its rawness and angst. Stubborn and Persistent are up there with some of my favourite NFG songs.

 

Although Resurrection definitely lacked a second guitar, I thought the production was still really good. Same with this song, but I feel like this sounds more along the lines of Radiosurgery (which I enjoy as well) but I find it interesting that I've seen a lot of people who don't care for that album react positively to this song

 

Dang...Just been listening to Coming Home a lot recently along with the new song and I just gave Resurrection another spin...what shame there isn't a second guitar on that album. It would've brought more life out of the songs.

 

Been hearing the new song on the radio. So awesome. I'm happy for these dudes.

 

It's crazy to me how much Coming Home gets better and better every year. I under appreciated that record way too much when it came out

 

Yeah it's definitely a love/hate album but I really like it. I wish they continued with that new sound for at least one follow up album instead of going back to the straight pop punk sound.

 

Exactly. I feel like if those songs were a little "bigger" sounding it'd be a better record

 

Been on a serious NFG binge since the two album shows I saw last weekend. Made me realize how much I've forgotten about Resurrection (I like some of the songs there but I really wish it had that second guitar). Pretty excited for the new album. I thought the two songs they played on the tour fit into their set quite easily.

 

They're up to something again. 2 hours between caption-less posts. First NGCS album art and then self-titled.

Weird since they didn't announce the additional dates like this.

From the date I saw, yes. They already have UK dates announced

 

Looks like I will hold off for a few days on booking flights for FEST. Might be able to incorporate these new dates into my travel plans.

What kinds of cities would we be looking at? They hit most of the big ones on the first tour. Also surely they will tour Makes Me Sick at some point?

Vinyl box set maybe?

 

Going to Halloween show at Toad's Place for Sticks & Stones/Catalyst. Fastest I ever bought a ticket in my life.
