    it's definitely kind of a party foul to try to even remake arguably the best animated movie ever made. especially when most people alive today have seen the original in formative years. i get why they did it, i think emma watson will be incredible, but yeah. unnecessary seemed to be the consensus.

    but we finally got ewan mcgregor in a singing role again, so we all win.

    I just listened to the Ariana Grande/John Legend version of Beauty and the Beast and yeah, okay, it's not bad, but Celine is alive and well and there's just no comparison.
