The only time I've seen asexuality mentioned in tv/film was an episode of House but then it turns out the girl's lack of sex drive was a symptom of some disease sooo that sucked

To be exact, Iron Fist wasn't technically whitewashing, since comic book Danny Rand was white. Let's categorize our racially problematic garbage correctly!

But, yeah, that response is trash. How the heck did they successfully pull the white feminist defense when the series doesn't even have a female protagonist? Like, my goodness, this is impressively terrible.

 

Well he's a white man playing the protagonist in an orientalist narrative.

 

I hope my post didn't sound like it was defending him. It was just intended as a playful way to recognize that white people have a wide range of ways to be racist in their arsenal.
