So the Peruvian girl and I have been talking a lot. She's super cute. And not gonna lie my heart kind of melts when I hear her accent, it's so pretty haha.

 

I may have accidentley ghosted the British girl. I'm so bad at texting back. sorryyyy.

 

Also I want to go to Peru now lol. She sent pics of the food and where she lives and omg it looks amazing. I've always wanted to go to South America. The have some of the best food on earth, their art is insanely beautiful, their people are insanely beautiful, and the scenery is hard to beat.

 

As someone who's been chronically insecure my entire life, sometimes to the point of emotional and social paralysis, that feeling I get where I feel like she and I are the best couple on the planet when we're together is legitimately thrilling.

 

Going to catch up with my friends tomorrow who are engaged and own a house and I'll have to tell them all about my recent break up. Should still be fun but will almost certainly be a little depressing.

So I've now been on countless dates with a girl, stayed together for the first time Friday and Saturday nights, actually met her parents on Friday night (She let me know that I'm the first guy to have ever done so, and that her parents liked me). I move into a new apartment on Thursday (not due to her, I was moving anyway) which means I'll now be living 10 minutes away from her as opposed to an hour, so that's definitely another plus.
Things are going very well just now, and I am very happy.

Wouldn't of seen this coming about 4 months ago, so if things aren't going your way just now, stick it out, you never know what might happen!

 

Going to trivia with a girl tomorrow. Woot.

 

Decided instead of dating I'm gonna commit to telling people "I'm just trying to find myself right now, yknow?" Until I die

Initially read this as pulling her chair out from under her. Couldn't really see that you could save the day with a napkin after that.

 

If that doesn't win someone over, I don't know what will.

 

I was on the phone for close to two hours talking to my bff about why my relationships/dates never work out. We made a pro and cons list and we've determined that I'm stubborn, a sabotoger, and if anyone gives me the tiniest opening I will bail on them so fast it'll make your head spin.

Myself and my baggage are complicated and I don't want to put anything on anyone else/be a burden. I'm working on accepting myself but everyone knows it's harder than it looks.

 

Probably the whole thing about her accent, I suspect.

 

I feel like with my baggage I'm like meh everyone has it, but I find with most ppl wanting to just hook up or move all fast or whatever, they're not patient with mine? Or I get paranoid that nobody will be. Its why it didnt work out with the last guy i started dating. But long term relationships where u divulge all that baggage scare me too lol.

 

I release my baggage in segments. That way, by month five or so, they have enough information to make a decision.

 

My girlfriend said recently that she loved that we're "both a little damaged". And it's true.

Find yourself someone with a little baggage and you can forgive each other for it, because you've both got it.

 

My baggage is that well I'm addicted to heroin, idk why anyone would want any part of this but alas

 

I guess anxiety and OCD is kinda baggage, other than that I'm very boring and that's more my concern

 

My girlfriend and I both have depression/anxiety so we unloaded our baggage onto each other pretty quickly. But I don't really look at it as baggage with her, because we understand what each other is going through and can empathize in a very meaningful way.

 

That was one issue in my last relationship, even though she had anxiety/depression/ocd she never took my issues seriously, to the point of making fun of me for going to the hospital during a panic attack. It's so important to find someone who is understanding of your issues and willing to be there for you.

 

Baggage is the main reason I think I need to not date. Not so much figure it out as how to manage it and such, esp in the context of not freaking someone out and everything
