To each their own! That's what makes music awesome. There is something for everyone!

Just got done listening to King Woman. It's a "grower" for me. I respect Relapse a lot and they wouldn't have signed them if they weren't good. I'll definitely come back to it in a couple days and listen again.

That's probably because it's not 2009 anymore and people stopped caring about the band after Mitch died.

This Power Trip album is lovely. Though more thrash then sludge or doom.

I forget who did the electronics but vindsval of blut aus nord did the drum programming and Colin martson of krallice did the guitars. It's one of my favorite metal albums ever, probably the most atmospheric metal album I've heard

And it also doesn't help that their new album sounds like shitty Deftones b-sides.

I wish people would stop comparing it to Deftones. What an insult to them.

I hearby add the qualifier that they're attempting to match the quality of Deftones in their tracks and failing miserably. Better?

Okay, I guess. I didn't really hear much Deftones influence in the new SS record, personally, other than them going for a more "atmospheric" feel. I dunno... I was just really bored with it.
