Yup, I hate when people talk to you during the movie

 

I actually like going fairly early as long as I got enough sleep the night before. Then I'm well rested and attentive during the movie.

 

I saw this at 11:30, was just full enough that I felt like I got the whole experience

 

Just as good the second time, especially with what I've had to chew on (namely things touched on in this thread)

I really want to see this but none of my friends do but I don't know if I could get myself to go to a movie alone, it would feel too weird.

 

Why?

 

It was brilliant to have the really creepy and absurd cereal scene end in the biggest laugh of the movie

 

Idk it would just feel awkward seeing everyone with people while I'm by myself lol.

 

It's really not like that. When I went to see it, I'd say there were at least 15 people there alone. No one is going to judge you for going to see it by yourself.

 

Peele came to speak at my school last semester as part of a Diversity Lecture series and it was very entertaining but at the same time he seemed uncomfortable going into more serious issues about race/diversity in the U.S. Like he talked about codeswitching and more overt stuff that he's already covered on K&P, but he seemed super hesitant to go into what seems to be a lot of the stuff that this films focuses on, the more intentional and self-aware actions of nonblack people, if that makes sense.

 

Best way to remedy that is to just remember that nobody gives a shit about you.

 

Literally came here just to post this. There's so much insight in this, it's insane.

 

This film was horrible. I understand some of the things that the film was attempting to do but this was honestly one of the worst films I've seen in a very long time. I could care less what the critics are saying about it, because it was like a shitty horror film and a lifetime movie rolled into one. And I'm sure I'll get "you didn't get it" or "how could you bash a film with such deep social commentary" but this film was not entertaining other than a few laughs with that cop. So ridiculous.
