someone came into my work last night wearing the A's elephant shirt and I love that logo so much. I don't know why but I just love it.

 

I disagree that some fan bases are worse than others. It may come out more in an enthusiastic fan base. Mostly my point is you'll see it more in lets say a Red Sox fan base than in a Marlins fan base just because they are bigger. Wouldn't say one is more known for it than the other.

 

Well... outside of the brutal LA/SF stuff I would say you're probably right.

edit: Also, the true test is going to games wearing the opponent's jersey. I've only done this a few times, but Boston was definitely the most vocal. (I'm a Braves fan)

 

I forgot where I read this but there have been studies done and ever since wearing team memorabilia has become the norm at sports games violence is increased out sporting events even though as a society we are less violent. It's the whole tribalism of sports coming out.

 

Aaron Judge has one strikeout in 13 plate appearances, gives me hope that he can make adjustments at this level just like he did at AA and AAA.

 

So last night was night 1 of my bachelor party in Vegas. On the casino floor of the Cosmopolitan I ran into Theo Epstein. Got to shake his hand and thank him for the World Series.

Not bad start to the weekend!

 

I really should made a concerted effort to run into Theo when I lived two doors down from him a couple years ago. Shoveled his sidewalk. Cut his lawn. Maybe I would have gotten season tix! or a restraining order lol

 

He couldn't have been nicer. Super gracious. Chatted with me for a few minutes.

 

Can't see it getting much better after that lol

 

I got nothing. Couldn't find a single player with my initials

 

I was sitting near Jason Heyward in a diner after a Braves game and didn't want to interrupt his meal. When he got up to leave and started walking past us I tried to talk to him and I let out this huge like croaking noise and he looked at me like I was a psycho. I wanted to hide under the table in embarrassment. My friends tell everyone new we meet about it bc it was such a ridiculous noise that no human should probably make.

 

Nick Hundley was the best I could think of

I went on a quail hunt with Ryan Klesko and John Rocker. Ryan is one of the nicest people I've ever met and John Rocker is just as big of an asshole as he is portrayed in the news and stuff.

 

Didn't John Rocker do an AMA at one point? I feel like that was a shit show.
