Like I said, I want to play it, it looks incredible. If I ever get a switch, I'll probably try it. I would just be going into it knowing that Zelda just has never been my thing.

 

Why has it not been your thing? What is it that you haven't liked about the series and what kinds of games do you like?

 

I can't really pinpoint any exact details about the games, but I've tried the original, Ocarina, Windwaker, and Twilight Princess, maybe one more, I can't remember anymore, and none of them were able to pull me in where I wanted to keep playing after an hour or two. The exception being Ocarina, but even that one I got bored of after a few more hours

As far as what I do like, I've been enjoying Horizon a lot so far, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Farcry. Kingdom Hearts is my favorite game of all time, just to name a few.

 

Yeah I can't really see what there is to dislike about Zelda so it's hard for me to say without specifics but I think BOTW might work for you more since it has a more open world like Elder Scrolls/Fallout/Farcry/Horizon which you seem to like.

 

Yeah exploring worlds is definitely my kind of thing, regardless of wether I'm gonna like it, I'm still excited that such a big deal of a game is coming out, and if it delivers its only going to make other publishers step up their game.

I know I'm hilariously late on this, but holy shitting fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck the Big Sisters in Bioshock 2. I'm teetering on the edge of a goddamn panic attack every time I hear one of these asshole things.

 

I thought Nier was out next month not in five days. So many games. What a time to be alive.

People will normally point to fall 98 when Metal Gear Solid, Grim Fandango, Half Life, Zelda OoT and Suikoden II all came out in back to back months.

I've been hearing iffy reports on BOTW performance on the Switch. Hopefully it's just isolated cases and not an indicator of the console as a whole.

 

Just finished Viking: Battle for Asgard. An oldie but a goodie. Has a lot of different elements in it. (Hack n' Slack, Open World/Sandbox, RPG). Closest game I could think of would be Darksiders. Highly recommended if you are fan of any of those styles.

That makes 42 100% complete games!

 

Sounds like PSN purchases will be taxes in many states starting April 1. Going to set my address to a non taxed state.

 

Played an hour of zelda. I love how the game just drops you in and then you can sort of do whatever you want. I climbed trees, carried a boulder over another part of the map, and basically just roamed. There's always some enemies, stuff to do.

It looks and plays incredibly as well.

 

I'm going to vent here for a second even though we've moved on from this topic a few pages ago: while I'll probably play Battleborn before I play Paladins (because, oh yeah, apparently I bought it), the people saying Paladins is a rip-off of Overwatch are forgetting that archetypes exist. There's an ice-user in Paladins that's similar to Mei? Don't you think Mei reminds you of a certain ice bird champ in League of Legends?
