Why is this using friend codes again ugh

 

There are at least other options (social media, migrating from their mobile games) but still a huge lol at bringing them back.

I honestly think at this point I want them to stick to friend codes just out of spite

 

Friend codes are fine with me. All the people I would play Nintendo with irl already share a house with me lol.

 

Friend code thing isn't a big deal to me since there's other ways to add friends

 

I was doing a thinking face emoji and was considering walking across the street from my work to Walmart to see if I could get a Switch at Midnight.

but then I forgot to check to see if they were even doing one.

 

Anyone order their system from Target? Still no update, has me concerned.

 

anyone been to a midnight release to an eb games? im going tonight for the swtich one tonight and curious what im in store for. I want to just get my system and be out of the store as quick as possible, but can only assume its going to be a long ass wait.

I have a meeting tomorrow morning at 9 so I think I may not even unbox until tomorrow afternoon gahhhh. Still going at midnight tonight because I have to have this in my hands ASAP haha

 

I've been to midnight game releases at gamestop so I assume it's about the same. You just kinda line up outside and wait for doors to open. The wait time depends entirely on how many consoles they have available. Since most people have their consoles paid off beforehand you should just have to go up to the counter, hand them your receipt in exchange for your purchase and be on your way

 

Did you pre order? If so it should be pretty painless. If not, it'll probably be a wait since they'll check out the people the preordered first, than sell the remaining people. They usually don't take long at all.

yeah i pre-ordered. I still have to pay it off though.

I was worried id have to wait in line with all the people who didnt, but from sounds of it they do pre-orders all first?

 

I'm taking a half day tomorrow in order to deal with some car registration stuff so I'm thinking of picking it up tonight and have it charged up while I'm at work tomorrow then grabbing it for my inevitable long-ass DMV wait

 

i took the full day off tomorrow so i can play zelda lol. my fav time to game is always like 8am with a cup of coffee which is the only reason i wanna pick up tonight.

im also seeing logan before going to the midnight release.... my body is overflowing in hype right now.

 

It's strange to me that you can't play and charge at the same time, I wanted to play on the Switch itself (not docked), but that limits me to how long I can play for.

 

My amazon still hasn't dispatched, now I'm worried.

 

they might let people who haven't paid theirs off completely come in before doors open to finish paying them off then let you back in line so it goes quicker. Gamestop did that for a couple midnight game releases I went to

 

ohhhh nice. i might actually go pay it all off after work tbh in anticipation. i wasnt thinking about that

 

as excited as i am for new zelda im also really bummed i wont be playing it on the switch
