Nothing changed. That's the point. He planned it all along. Orton literally said that in the promo. He was always getting his title shot. It was a ruse to get more access.

Probably because either the choice was made not to have Harper in the match or they are still undecided. If he's made a crux of the feud, he kinda becomes a part of it no matter what.


edit: I don't think this feud really needs Harper. It will ultimately just muddle Bray's redemption.

 

I enjoyed the Orton/Bray segment.

This Miz/Cena feud is going to be so good.

 

AJ vs Orton vs Bray will be dope. Please leave it at that.

Only thing cringier than that Orton segment is you guys and your constant "A WILD ___ APPEARS!" references

i dunno. I enjoyed that last segment.

 

Yeah it wasn't that bad, reminded of the Attitude era a bit. Similar to a Taker/Ministry or Kane or Mankind storyline.

I read results about the closing segment before I watched it, and it read a lot better than it played. Orton didn't really sell the lines to me and played the whole thing a little flat, but I liked the concept. Desecration of a loved one's grave and first degree arson are weird babyface moves, though...

 

Just feel like the crowd is always on the verge of cheering Orton no matter what. Especially the femininas.

 

As corny as his pose at the end was, I fucking loved it. And I'm not really a Randy fan.

 

I just want Randy to retire. I've grown tired of him.

Wow, John Cena acted super douchy on Smackdown this week. I kinda like it. I also like this Miz vs Cena thing they are building up that promo between the 2 was great last night. Also, good god Harper did awesome in that main event, kinda wish he had won to set up a Wyatt Family triple threat but hey, AJ Styles is cool.

 

Weird Smackdown. I see where they are going, for the most part, but I'm not sure a lot of it makes sense.

 

Random thought here, but was last night the first time Cena and Nikki were on screen/in ring together? I know they get referenced all the time as a couple (since every Nikki feud has had her opponent just call her out on that fact). I only got back into WWE in 2014 so I don't know as much about things prior to that, and I can't specifically recall a time they were in a segment together in the time I've been watching.
