What did he say that was extraordinary? I don't even understand. He thanked a fallen serviceman for his service by name. Literally every politician alive has done that. Have we set the bar so low that just saying something good about a hero is a miraculous feat now?

Went to The Japanese House tonight. I knew I'd come home to shitshow, but sweet merciful God. What the fuck?

 

The arduous, incredibly stressful task of working on my thesis for half the day to meet my new deadline has ironically provided me with the sweetest relief of not keeping up on our political shitshow. Went through the last five pages to see what happened and wanted to explode.
