huge missed opportunity not to have Randy appear with a shovel to bury Bray

That was a waste of 10 minutes.

  5. For how well they built this slow burn it really seems like they rushed this turn

  8. This makes no sense. What the fuck was the point of the battle royal and the Harper/AJ stuff than.

If they don't keep styles in the match, people will be livid.

Bray deserved better than that. A wild Rowan taking out Orton while he was monologing would've been perfect. Instead Bray is a chump. Lame

  12. I mean yeah, but they could have done it a better way or a way that makes sense. Like Harper taking Shane out doesn't make sense now.

More like a waste of like six months of booking

THe problem is that Randy did a shit job of selling all of that. And he talked for about 2 minutes too long. Bray sold the shit out of it, but he can only do so much.

And considering Randy was given the keys 2 weeks ago, that's a mighty fast turn

  15. So does Bray Wyatt turn back to Husky Harris?

Yeah bray did a great job salvaging it. Interested to see where his character goes. Not at all interested in Orton

  17. You know Orton winning the Rumble was shitty to begin with.

Bray turned on Harper before the Rumble. This match has literally been building since October. Sure, a lot of that segment was cheesy as fuck and kind of bad, but Bray selling the shit out of that probably has more meaning than any of us currently realize. Randy just completely destroyed what Bray's been referencing for the past 5 years. Is it possible that Bray may not have his powers anymore? Is Bray going be just a shell of himself now or are we going to see a whole new Bray? Maybe I'm being optimistic because I want to be, but there's a lot of questions that have yet to be answered.

People are legitimately creaming themselves on /r/SC right now over that segment and I feel bad for every last one of them that they're willing to accept what they just saw as good.

Only super positive thing I can see going forward is that this sets the stage for a big face turn.

I think they were intending that here, or at least planting the seeds, but apparently the guy betraying a person who helped him and then burning his home to the ground is face stuff?

I still trust Smackdown to do good things going forward, but, the less Randy promo time the better

The problem is that everyone saw it coming. There is no way bray comes out of this without looking like an idiot, which cancels out pretty much any other character development we get

Lots of ways he comes out looking good. I have less faith in them considering how Bray has been booked before.

He could come out as a massive babyface, shifting his gimmick. Or he could descend into madness, which might honestly be better.

Randy's timing on this makes absolutely no sense, though. Why now? Why say you're not going to face Bray at Mania two weeks ago, only to now do this? Why didn't he just do this right after winning the Rumble, or why didn't he wait until Mania to screw Bray over on the biggest stage of them all. Of all the ways they could have gone with what they've set up here, this is what they do to execute it.

And for anyone who thinks Randy's acting was good in that monologue, you need Jesus.
