    Controversial shout there haha!

Each to their own I suppose. Wishing Well is a top 5 song of theirs, I'll back that, but personally don't think anything else on that record touches anything from S/T, Dog Eating Dogs or California. Hearts All Gone comes mighty close mind...

I like neighborhoods, tbh. Natives, after midnight, hearts all gone, WIshing well, up all night and even if she falls still get pretty decent play from me. I just don't think it's as good as Untitled, I'll take any 1 song from Untitled over any neighborhoods song, and I even think California is better and more cohesive of an album then neighborhoods( Cynical, BTD, No Future, and a couple others outrank most of neighborhoods to me). I like the album but it isn't my favorite. But opinions man!

I like Marks part in the chorus of that song. That's all.

Honestly the only part of Love Is Dangerous that I don't like is the chorus but even Mark kinda saves that

Oh and some dumb lines like "it's all static just like my television" lol

All I can think about when i hear is Love is dangerous is how it sounds like a bottom tier AvA song that had Mark and Travis hastily thrown on and slapped on a blink-182 album. Can't get over that feeling, same thing with Disaster.

  9. Disaster is of the 3 songs I listen to the most on DED

Well, they haven't played a live show in about 5 years. Pretty easy to avoid NYC ;-p

The only ones I revisit are When I was young, the title track, and Boxing day(only in the months of November-January)

At least California doesn't have a Yelawolf feature.

    Neighborhoods >>>>>>>> DED

I'm just saying If blink had recorded another LP instead of an EP, and those 5 songs (possibly half the album) were on it, I'd be a bit disappointed

Man, I'm really in the minority on this, aren't I? I kind of really like DED. Only disappointing bit on it is the Yelawolf part. If those 5 were on Neighbourhoods instead of my least favourite 5 on that, I'd be infinitely happier with it as a record.

I wish it was May 19th already.

I'd have my Nintendo Switch. I'd have seen the Impractical Jokers in Nashville. I'd have seen Blink in Knoxville. I'd have seen A Perfect Circle in Nashville.

And I'd be holding whatever bundle I preordered when they inevitably release them with the deluxe California album in hand.

    Waiting sucks

I thought "When I Was Young", "Dogs Eating Dogs" and "Boxing Day" were awesome. The lead track especially is one of my favorite Tom songs ever.

"Disaster" is just so much recycled from AvA. Lyrics, melodies, riffs, everything is all stuff we've heard before. Pretty indifferent to "Pretty Little Girl". I think by the time that song comes around, I'm just so worn out on the lack of Mark/over use of Tom.

It was a pretty cool little EP and I think it was a (slight) step up in cohesiveness from Neighborhoods, but yeah...just too much Tom.

Bumped into a buddy from HS last night. Only thing we ever talked about was blink, so of course I asked him his thoughts on California. He said he wasn't really feeling the album...then we inevitably went through it song by song. Long story short, he disliked Los Angeles. Thought it sounded too much like FOB....but enjoyed mostly everything else haha. Probably still in no Tom denial but love how he eventually admitted that "OK maybe I do like most of the album haha".

Also to add to a previous poster before, he also admitted he very much enjoys "Love is Dangerous".

Most of my friends were big into blink back in the day. They were all pretty indifferent to Neighborhoods, and I'm not sure they even knew about Dogs Eating Dogs.

However, when "Bored to Death" came out, they lost their minds. We all even went to a show together. They seemed like the type of fans California was meant to grab (and it did).

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I think at the end of the day, the production on Neighborhoods really hurts it for me, and there's such a huge gap between the best songs (Kaleidoscope, Wishing Well, Even If She Falls, After Midnight, Hearts All Gone) and the worst songs for me like This Is Home, Love and Snakecharmer. The worst ones on California for me are probably California, No Future and Kings of the Weekend (joke songs are inconsequential to me) but I can totally still enjoy those. The bottom three on Neighborhoods I would completely be fine never hearing those songs again.

This exactly. The songs you listed are arguably better than anything on California, but the "average" of California is so much higher than Neighborhoods.

I agree with what you said....except about No Future you take that back! I thought you were cool!!

i've been revisiting california over the past few days. the first four tracks and San Diego are my clear favorites, but i still get down with no future too. i think i liked rabbit hole a lot more when it dropped as a pre release track tho

hot take: san diego is blink's best post reunion song

I'd probably vote Natives or After Midnight but San Diego is definitely up there and is the best on California
