I feel like these songs have been the peak of the band's style, just really fantastic in all ways

hahaha shit man, you have missed a lot.

there are some good songs on kindred, but it really lacks the personality i guess you could say of his previous output.

I feel like I must have listened to different albums than everyone else here, because I didn't like Passion Pit at all before Kindred.

 

I feel you liking the album that people who liked their previous stuff didn't actually makes sense if you weren't into the old stuff.

 

Yeah, probably. Just always weird to disagree with the almost unanimous opinion haha.

 

The singles on Kindred, in my opinion, are some of his strongest work. The album cuts...not so much. I am loving everything he's released on YouTube in the past week, especially "I'm Perfect".

 

definitely my least favorite, but it's also just a demo so i guess that's expected

 

I didn't think Kindred was THAT bad. There were definitely some great tunes on there, like Where The Sky Hangs.

Haven't listened to any of the new songs yet, gonna dive in right now.

 

Wait... why the shit is Michael putting out an album he's already released 6 songs from in literally a week?? this can't all be new stuff because it's the weirdest rollout for an album I've seen in a while.

 

it's all new stuff, but it's not from a new album or anything, he's only said that he wants to release music because he wants to release it

 

idk i'm getting the sense that sea of love really is a new album. if you check his twitter he retweeted several things that said stuff along the lines of "hints at a new album" and whatnot. we'll see i suppose.

 

I'm obviously all for it, other than the random demo being included haha

 

Love The Undertow, doesn't seem like a demo to me.

 

Yeah, Undertow is great. Almost all of these songs are. I wish I understood his plan. I want a full length with songs of this caliber, if not just these songs.

 

If we get 3 more song's I'll call it a full length.
