Probably been brought up in this thread before but this is a near perfect album. Been listening to this a lot today.

 

This band is on the Code Orange tour and they were tight. Reminds me of early Converge and early Poison the Well

Any Advent love in here? That new EP is pretty amazing.

 

Anybody recommend any good straightedge bands? I recently went straightedge for a variety of reasons with my brother coming out as an alcoholic being number 1 but also my wife's uncle recently was diagnosed with severe liver disease secondary to drinking.

Trying to support them in anyway I can.

 

Mindset is probably one of the better straight edge bands from the past decade or so.

React Records in general has a lot of good straight edge stuff.

 

Obviously Minor Threat as well.

 

Oh yeah, I know a lot of bands I'm just wondering if there are any current ones I should check out.

 

Wild Side is about to blow up when they drop their record this year (hopefully). Get on they hype train early.

Also True Love released the best hardcore album last year in my opinion and they're straight edge.

 

Oh that True Love album is amazing.

 

I'm really liking the new First Blood album. Carl is one of the nicest guys as well.

Huge Advent fan. I've only heard the new single which I loved. Probably going to check out the rest of the ep now.

First and only time I ever saw them I was 19. Reign Supreme was headlining in a Troy bar, and after Advent killed it the time was 10pm. They weren't letting anyone under 21 back in but thankfully Nick who was the show promoter and a friend got the bouncer to mark hands and let us back in only upstairs where the show was. One my favorite small shows ever.

 

Reign Supreme is pretty sick. Anything that Philadelphia area is churning out is great.

 

Yes I'm missing Philly pretty bad these days. Loved living there, the only other area I've lived in aside from Upstate NY. Seen a lot of great bands come from both.

 

I'm from Upstate NY as well. Syracuse area. I can't tell you the number of times I have seen Earth Crisis.

 

The new The Weight We Carry EP is pretty good on first listen.

 

Just got home from Expire

I don't think it's hit me that they're not going to be doing anything in a couple weeks, but what a send off for California. Finally saw Bent Life!

 

I've seen Expire twice and they will truly be missed.

 

That was my fourth or fifth time last night, but truly the first where everyone was there for them. Sold out and everyone knowing the words. A special show that's for sure.
