It's a thing we all think is coming, and we know we're getting something from them this year, but it is "unconfirmed format" as far as official statements from the band go.

 

Think the unconfirmed format thing was them being funny. Yes we are getting an album IMO

Nah I wouldn't be upset. If it tied in to the overall theme, then I say put it in there. I'm just glad they gave us a new song to listen to and shut us up for a bit ha.

 

The lyrics on Sealed to Me?

 

Yeah. I can't identify with them at all, plus there a few lines in there that don't seem to fit.

"I'm working hard at being my own MVP
instead of feeling lucky just to have made the team"

Knowing what he is capable of writing, it just doesn't quite feel up to par.

 

Often times, the lyrics change before the final studio version.

In the case of Sealed to Me, it seems like they recorded it very shortly after it was written and played live a few times. May not be time for lyrical change.

 

@Kevin360 very true. I'd be very curious to hear that track with some revised lyrics.

 

Y'all have got me on the fence about Sealed To Me now. Do I like it because it's actually good or do I like it because I'm so starved for new Brand New content?

I'm a fan but don't really listen to it very often.

 

Whomever did that sealed to me cover for AP did a fantastic job.

 

Given that they are on their own label, I guess they could forgo the typical 2-3 months promotion for an album. They could probably do it in 2-3 weeks.

Announce it, put up pre-orders, release within a month.

 

I think Sealed to Me is great, as far as I can tell from the versions we have. The lyrics are much better than many found throughout Daisy.

Sealed To Me is a great song. I might be in the minority that I like the MVP line.

 

I listened to the live video for Sealed To Me once like, months ago so I remember nothing about it at this point, haha. I'll wait until theres a studio version... if theres a studio version.

 

I hope the studio version hase those few lines at the end screamed like Jesse does in a few of the live versions.

I would prefer that, but especially if it's the closer and solo, I would doubt he does. Who knows though.

 

I didn't really care for the live recording of Sealed To Me, but seeing it live last August was really cool. I definitely think its a decent song. I just want a studio quality recording of it.

Stock photo guy is a casual listener who knows little of their discography :D

 

I'm with you on the lyrics. I get turned off by how simple or one dimensional they seem.

I dig the overall feel of the song. It's kind of similar to the way I feel about handcuffs, but not to the exact same degree.
