Gluten Free, Vegan, and more.

Daughter 3 is Celiac (undiagnosed) but complained about stomach pain when eating chicken nuggets, sandwiches, cookies, etc... Took Gluten away, and all pain is gone.

Daughter 2 has T1D, and multiple food allergies (milk, egg, nuts, etc..) and had an endoscopy for Celiac testing and it came back positive, so she too, avoids gluten (and since she's dairy/egg free) likes to see 'vegan' on things.

In cambridge, MA there is a place called 'Veggie Galaxie' that made some good food for her - that was vegan, and GF.

GF is trendy now, but for her, its a necessity.

Domino's is alright. For $5.99, you can't go wrong. WAY better than Little Ceasers or Pizza Patron.

 

I like Hungry Howies better, I think.

I used to work there. I miss the food. They don't have them around here anymore. Bacon Cheeseburger pizza the goat.

 

Hungry Howies was the only pizza place at GSU that delivered to our house. I liked it but I also never ate it unless I was drunk.

 

Always a good drunk go-to for delivery. If you order 3 Large one topping pizzas, they're $5 with free delivery.

Sometimes there would only be 3 or 4 of us left at a party and we'd still get 3 large pizzas just for the deal

 

Thanks. Healthiest 16 and 13 yr old girls you'll see though. No McDs, no fast food.... Mostly healthy (ha!) stuff, though the options are greater now, with more companies aware of the niche.

 

It's ALMOST a blessing bc they are forced to be healthy, you know? But all kids love gluten and processed shit so they get to take their discipline into adulthood with them. They thought I had a gluten allergy and I then realized that gluten is in damn near everything. There's gluten in the gel capsules of medicine! So crazy.

 

I can always count on Little Caesars when I have $5 and an empty belly.

 

Is it gluten, I thought they weren't Vegan friendly because it used like gelatin or something.

I went to a farm/nursery today and they had sooooo much local food and baked goods that looked amazing. I ended up getting an apple pie. It looks delish. I love places like that.

 

I don't know if it's because Valentine's Day was recently, or because groups at my university need to start raising money for end of semester stuff, but there's been countless bake sales at my school the past week. Walking to class has been like strolling through the homes of Betty Crocker and Mr. Christie. I even saw students who had bought a bunch of large Pizza Hut and were selling slices at 2.50 a piece. Way to capitalize
