I don't even like reading about this stuff because I'm terrified it could happen to me. I had a lot of trouble sleeping as a kid and if that kind of stuff happened I'd be done. With sleep. And I love sleep.

 

i get sleep paralysis really consistently when i forget to take my antidepressants or when i'm very stressed. its appearance is a reliable shift from my standard "sleep is not restful" to "sleep actively makes you feel more tired."

 

You can get scratches from sleep paralysis?

 

I think it may have happened to me once. I was like 9 or 10 and I remember to not being able to move and my mouth was wide open,but I was awake and there were about 4-5 people in silver clothing standing around my bed.. for years I was half convinced I may have experienced some alien visitation

 

Speaking of aliens, has anyone encountered the "black eyes children". I read about them and I feel like those could be the "aliens".

 

My doc said it happens when you panic and try to wake yourself up instead of trying to just go to sleep.

 

Makes sense, of course my mind immediately went to ghosts haha

 

No lie, I was convinced it was a ghost or a demon lol

 

I get ~something~ like sleep paralysis every couple months, but only when I nap and it's always the same experience. I "wake up" on my stomach and I can feel something looming behind me. I can't see it, but it lifts me up by the legs and dangles me upside down above the floor. Eventually, it drops me and I gently float to the floor before actually waking up/regaining control. It's always terrifying, even though I recognize what it is as it's happening and I know how it ends. Probably more of a recurring nightmare, but I always found it interesting/spooky,

 

i got it like twice when i was a kid and it felt like i was floating and i had the feeling of water going up my nose. some of the stuff you all describe sounds terrible im so glad i never experience that

 

You're way too casual about what is clearly an alien abduction

 

They say that if you don't sleep on your back, you won't get sleep paralysis (i.e., sleep on your side instead). I used to get it often but when I started sleeping on my side it went away.

 

Yeah I've definitely had it while sleeping on my side, but I do find that occurrences are less frequent that way

 

Sleeping on your back is the "healthiest" position I guess but yeah sleep paralysis occurs more frequently when you do. I've only had it twice, but one of the times I was sleeping on my stomach. Felt like someone was sitting on my back when it happened. Would not recommend.

 

I can't sleep on my back. I have had 2 knee surgeries where I was required both times to lay and sleep on my back bc of this thing I had to wear. I was miserable even when I was drugged up. All of my sleep paralysis experiences have happened on my side and stomach.

 

My personal theory is that we're going to see more of this bc the world is so fucked that extraterrestrials aren't concerned with stealth anymore. Like we're on our last leg.

 

I think it's time for the aliens to come back down and help us out again.
