These old school punk bands only doing partial dates make sense. They're older and have familes.

Having a separate section could make sense. That way the older fan base wouldn't have to deal with Black Veil Brides' fans all day. Would help motivate them to head back out.

It's been done for a few weeks at least.

  4. Seen some things on Twitter about The Wonder Years possibly being on... I can see it. There's no evidence that quote from Nick is real/what he said exactly.

Maybe i'm the exception to that but I still go every summer. There are always enough bands to get me to go. And last year was a no brainer.

The quote was literally, and I mean literally, in this forum.

Edit: can't remember what thread it's under though but it's in the Tour Forum somewhere, might even be this thread.

  7. That's fair, but either way one member of the band's dislike doesn't necessarily count them out. I guess only time will tell!

I tweeted at kevin Lyman yesterday saying that during this political climate it would be a miss not to have Anti-Flag playing warped this year and then Chris #2 from Anti Flag liked the tweet. Evidence?

It wasn't just dislike, he straight up said they wouldn't do the tour again.

Body Count's only show is Chicago Open Air on 7/15. I can see them doing some dates.

NOFX has a show in Spain on 6/22, but that's their only summer show at the moment I think.

The Wonder Years are NOT playing. Stop it.

I agree with this. My two buddies who go with me every year are 37 and 40. They've both been going every year since 96. They've each only missed one and two years, respectively.

People have to remember old school 80s and 90s Punks are like old school Deadhead/jam band fans. They don't go to any fewer shows at 50 than they did at 20 lol. If the lineup is good enough, some will attend.

It'd be cool if they brought back the Old School stage they had from 2007-2010 and make it full tour instead of just west coast. Have 2-3 full tour bands, a few regional acts to do 5-10 dates each, and just have the stage finish up for the day by 5 or 6 like The Acoustic Basement or the Comedy Tent did.

Face To Face currently has no announced shows besides Warped At Sea. That seems odd because they just released a new album last year. I can definitely see them playing.

Here is what Nick Steinborn said about TWY doing Warped.

    A few things:
-We have no plans to play Warped again.
-Our label has never had much of a say in who we toured with. They were certainly free to offer their advice, but it's only advice.
-We could not have left Hopeless after TGG as we were still contractually obligated to do one more record with them.
-Hopeless has never had any say over our artistic decisions. There were limitations due to budgets and timing, but they never once said that we could or could not write a piece of music. They didn't hear a single demo for a song off of TGG until we were about to record.
-We're friggin' old and probably have peaked, but our last headliner was still one of our biggest.

Every band has a different relationship with their label, but we are very independent and very involved in our everything. Still figuring out our future, but budgets should be better and will enable us to do more of what we want.

Man, today has been interesting. These comments from the Warped social media totally change how I'm approaching my main stage prediction now.

    He also said this.

I think a lot of people neglect the fact that bands have to accept the offers that a headliner sends. We can send an offer out to Springsteen all we want, but he's never going to accept it. We've sent offers out to more diverse bands that have said no for any of a multitude of reasons. Sometimes they're busy. Sometimes they feel it's not the right tour at that time. We can't please everyone.

Doubt we'd do Warped again. It's just not really what we want to do anymore. We like being able to decide who we tour with and not pooping in plastic death toilets.

Honestly just this. Touring and then we’re going to write. We’ve had a couple of conversations with these new producers that we’re very excited about. We said no to the Vans Warper Tour, so we’re not going to be doing that for multiple reasons. Nothing against them, just artistically and our current aesthetic alignment at this point, it’s not what we’re necessarily going for. So I think we’re just going to work on hopefully writing some challenging, confronting and listenable music!

Does anyone think FIDLAR can be a surprise main stage addition? They have no summer plans and a lot of there recent tour/ festivals seem to be shifting more toward a warped tour scene
