Yes. He's a decent backup to have, but nothing more. He's not got the footballing intelligence or technique to be world class. He saved us a season or two ago when he came back from loan and solidified us, but he's just not of the quality we need for a starter.

If you asked me a year ago, I would have agreed he was our most consistent player. Unfortunately since about January last year he's been very shaky.

Venky's happened, such shoddy management of the club since day 1. There's a reason why our fans striked so much when back when we sacked Alladyce and hired Kean back when we were in the PL.

It's all been downhill since then. Basically the last few transfer windows we've sold our best players to get out a transfer embargo we were placed under. We've not brought in decent enough replacements and have been finishing just above relegation the last few seasons.

As much as it pains me to say it but it looks like we're going to finally drop down this season.
