Add in the Bill Russell and Brooklyn Picks deals and maybe we're getting closer....

Our rebuild has been so convoluted. Who have we actually gotten through the picks in that trade now (obv we still have one next year).

    Rozier and Brown.

Will remember that every time I get amped about the way Rozier goes up for rebounds

I just love that he LEAPS for every rebound and comes down strong and two-handed even when they're uncontested.

  7. Wait, people think that was good trade for the Magic?

I would think the correct assessment is that the Oladipo trade was a bad move and wreaked winning desperation. The Ibaka trade, while not super exciting is the correct move, given the trade market and the realization that another rebuild appears to be imminent.

Feel bad for Lance. That didn't look good.

Oh yeah, that's a pretty nasty ankle roll

  12. They were in the middle of a rebuild, and not doing too bad of a job until that bizarre Ibaka trade/Biyombo signing. Made no sense at all. And now they move Ibaka for a crappy late 1st and a decent player. Just a complete failure. They would've been better off keeping Oladipo and the #11 pick and then taking Sabonis like OKC did. They'd still be moving in the right direction.

So smooth. He's been on a pretty good stretch lately too.

I think it's fair to say the ridiculous contracts handed to mediocre players last summer has really stalled a lot of teams progress for a couple years until they are off the books.

Definitely need it with Lavine done for the year.

I like this trade for the Magic. Lets Gordon move to the 4 and now they have two shooters on the wing. Payton's losing his job to whoever their first pick is. They shouldn't have traded for Ibaka or signed Biyombo in the first place, but this lineup next year is in play and it's a solid young team:

    PG: Dennis Smith
    SG: Evan Fournier
    SF: Terrence Ross
    PF: Aaron Gordon
    C: Biyombo/Vucevic

Not disagreeing with any of that, but once the trade was made this was the right move to recover assets.

I heard earlier that Orlando made the Ibaka trade with a feeling that he would sign long-term lol. Clearly that wasn't going to happen. So, yes. Bad gm-ing by Orlando.

ACLs are the worst. The NBA needs to put funding into finding a way for athlete's to just not need them haha.

Leave it to one of the wolves old draft busts to have a decent game against them

Couple things. 1) Wiggins would get going against the team that drafted him. 2) Welcome to Cleveland, Williams. Couple big plays down the stretch. His versatility and hustle will be a real asset these next few days. Hopefully he gets signed after the second 10-day.

Regardless I'm excited for this Wiggins/towns duo, when this team starts to experience they will start to close out these fairly close/competitive games (hopefully)

That's not a game Minnesota should be in in the first place, so there are certainly positives to take from it on the Wolves side. Closing out good teams in the fourth quarter is the hardest part for a young team growing and learning how to win.

I just hope thibs doesn't try to "win now", and deal a young piece in the core. It's gonna be a season or two process to mold.
