Real bummer about Love. At least there will be plenty of minutes to distribute around and allow for some creativity. I wish LeBron was more open to PF. He is so damn effective in that role. I get he doesn't like the wear and tear of that position, but you can really get some interesting lineups when you have him there.

Orlando is just trying to tread water. There has never really been a clear idea as to what they were trying to build and made some pretty redundant moves over the years. I wish the Cavs could do a buy low on Mario. That guy is too talented to not have an effective role in this league.

 

I will trade a 1st just to get rid of Meyers Leonard

 

Aaron Gordon should be playing all those minutes, Payton and him have to be the key pieces once they clear all the other dumb things they did. I mean we all said that Gordon should get all the minutes before this season started and then they kept signing bigs lol

 

This gets interesting if the Chicago and Boston trades go through. It'd be something like Payton/Butler/Ross/Gordon/Amir or maybe Bradley or Crowder, who know what they want. Either way that's money.

 

Not entirely sure what they could be looking at, but for what it's worth:

Seen rumors printed that the Celtics are chasing Butler and Paul George. Would love to see either of them in green. Really hope Smart and Bradley stay out of a package though. I love watching them play.

George is definitely staying put. Butler would probably be moved if the Bulls front office was run by anyone else.

 

George isn't going anywhere. Butler may. But he's going to Orlando. And so is Bradley.

 

If - and I think it could be a BIG IF - Kevin Love is really only out for 6 weeks, it's not that big of a deal. That'd be missing about 20 games during that time frame and then return with 7 games left in the regular season to get ready for the playoffs (and let's be honest, that first round will afford him to knock off some rust too)...so that's a good 11-12 games to get back into rhythm before second round of playoffs would start.

My fear is that this will take longer than six weeks to recover from. Good news is, sounds like nothing was truly torn and it was more of a clean-up surgery than it was to repair something (although Mosgov had a scope surgery before 15-16 year and was never the same player, but Mosgov is a whole other story.)

I think Frye and now even Derrick Williams will fill in nice until the playoffs. I'm not overly concerned about this so long as the timeframe sticks to about 6 weeks.

 

What is this rumored deal between the three of them? It sounds terrible haha

 

I was about to say, how in the hell is Orlando getting both Butler and Bradley??

 

There was a rumoured deal for Butler and another involving Vucevic with the Celtics. I imagine Bradley is at least on their radar. I'm just being an ultra optimist right now lol. It'll probably be like Crowder or some shit but whatever.

 

If the Celtics make a direct trade for vucevic, ainge should resign

 

I hate to burst your bubble, but I promise you Bradley ain't going anywhere unless a star is coming back. Danny will not do a deal unless he can absolutely WIN it.

 

Oh yeah I'm fully aware haha. But I'm going to pretend for the next two weeks.

 

It's almost kinda maddening. Like, I trust him because it's working, but it felt like we could have had Butler for a fair deal during the draft. But he can't make a deal unless it'll end in a GM being fired.

 

Any guesses on who replaces Love in the ASG? I'm thinking Beal is the best choice.

 

Crowder doesn't seem like much but you'll love him if you get him. He's shooting really well from 3 this year and plays really good defense on, invariably, the other team's best player

 

We all just have to pray to Red and the leprechaun that he has another Isaiah steal in him.

 

God, that trade was such a fleece job.

 

If you add that and the Lowe/Varitek-for-Slocumb trades it almost balances the scales for trading Babe R...nope. Never mind. Can't even pretend.
