  1. I saw Denver and Portland were two of the teams in talks for Okafor. I'm guessing this takes them out of it? Portland could maybe still be interested since they have 3 first rounders to play with.

Other teams reportedly interested are Bulls, Pelicans.

I'd rather use those picks to trade into the bottom half of the lottery or trade for a player at the draft. Okafor is way too slow to play for stotts, unless they get him for cheap id rather not. They have even less ability to protect the rim now.

  3. NBA pre-show has players listing the current players with the best crossovers. None of them listed Kemba. Shame.

Disagree that Nurkic sucks. Him and Jokic are just too similar, so it's hard to get full usefulness out of both players. Not sure Portland is the right fit, but Nurkic is fine. Not long ago he was the starter on that team.

Idk man zach Lowe thinks he's bad, I usually agree with him. Also you forget when jokic wasn't healthy nurkic got a lot of minutes and was pretty bad. Sure you can say maybe he hasn't fully recovered from his injury last year but he still wasn't good. He was the starter originally just because the team was pretty dreadful, he always had inconsistent % for a big man if I remember correctly. I'm happy with the return but I'm not expecting much and that's the best way to think about it.

This is exactly like the Mo part of the ATL trade. The protected pick is only to satisfy league rules. There is no intention of actually getting a pick. Cavs just want someone to waive Andersen for them so that they can avoid the luxury tax hit and clear a roster spot for someone that can play minutes.

Kind of not buying Love's latest knee injury. Lue had publicly announced he wanted to rest some guys before All-Star Break and what better way to rest Love than to not have him return to Minnesota and get booed heavily. Love is a sensitive guy and probably just didn't even want to deal with that if Cavs were planning on resting him anyway. A bit suspicious that the Cavs - on Sunday - announced he'd be out on Tuesday, but not on Wednesday. If they were really concerned, they probably would have just said both games considering it's a back to back.

Several beat writers said he seemed fine after the game Saturday night and was in good spirits. I even watched his postgame and he didn't seem like he was battling an injury.

Supposedly he's getting a second opinion tomorrow. Hopefully the Cavs are just really selling this...

I just read that Ringer article on Jabari. Man that injury is such a massive bummer.

I'm done. Marcus Smart is a good basketball player and I'll shut up for the rest of the season.

If Isaiah scores 20+ next game, he'll tie Havlicek for the most consecutive 20+ games with 40. To hold any record on a franchise with the history of the Celtics is a hell of an accomplishment.

I could get used to Kelly's back-to-the-basket layup move.
