we've seen the shadow of the axe before Supporter

So Carol doesn't know Rick and co. were at The Kingdom right? I expected the guy who Morgan is training to tell her out in the woods that they were there.

That's true. But he has no way of knowing she even knows them so it'd be a random thing to say.

So Rick is held by like 100 people with various weapons, yet he smiles thinking "this is the army I need." How does this make sense? The last time he's been in this situation, two people in his group were killed.

The Kingdom stuff was dumb as always, with the exception for Ezekiel's right hand man, can't remember his name, but the dude who stands next to him on the throne. Morgan suggesting "there can be another way" was just plain stupid, even after learning of Glenn and Abe.

It seems like the next couple of episodes will be set up to fighting Negan's group, at least I hope so. If that is the case, I could easily see the finale having Negan captured by Rick, we already saw the cell in Alexandria. Then the following season will be the time jump of I think 3 years? It makes the most sense at this point.

Was the group at the end the one who Terra escaped from?

No, because there were men in this group.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. Good point. This group seems random then. I don't like it.

Did you see the clip from next week? There is a zombie straight out of Silent Hill, which really bugs me.

I avoid the previews, this is a show where the twists are pretty much everything lol. That sounds odd, but I'm kinda up for more zombies though even if that means different types. Not a fan of how Zombie's are a threat anymore. I mean, Rick literally just shuffled though a herd effortlessly this ep lol.

Surprised you missed it, because it showed the clip of next week right after last night's episode.

This isn't a spoiler, by the way. Rick stands against a pile of busted up cars (junk yard) and some non-human looking zombie stands behind him with metal shards sticking out of its body....really weird stuff.

Here is the picture if you want to look.

Yeah that looks kinda cool! And yeah, I just turn it off before the preview starts during the credits.

Anyone else notice that when Gabriel is driving off in the cold open, right before it cuts to the opening credits you can see someone in the passenger seat rise up next to him. I didn't notice it at first but my roommate did and after rewinding it it's very clear.

Yes, and it was such a stupid reveal. People don't sit like that and if they were hiding, why would they sit up when the car is still within sight of whoever may be looking out?

Calling it now, the person in the car is the same person who was spying on Rick at the season mid-finale. The word "boat" further hints toward this.

Yeah, it was intended to be clear I thought?

I'd assume Boots took Gabriel, made him steal everything, and put it in the car to drive away.

I don't think Gabriel took it all on his own, then Boots just happened to be in the car.

Agreed that this person is from the wooded area camp, right?

haha I got so tired of that. Some episodes, one walker is enough to take a person down, and then other times they can just stroll through a whole crowd. Seemed like it started around the time the Governor came about. I remember he was impossible to kill.

Yea, and remember in this world, a finger nail scratch is enough to get someone sick and die, then turn. I'm pretty sure this is accurate.

It was a good episode. Was any of this in the comics? None of the dialogue seemed familiar.

I was discussing this with my wife. My theory is that the walkers are weaker now and easier to avoid. They don't lunge or attack as much as they did in the beginning. And maybe it's due to how much they've been around them. They know how to handle them.

Young guy on Ezekiel's court hadn't seen Rick and co. yet. My guessing is that after we figure out who those people are, Carol will finally be in touch with the group. Finds out everything, wants to help, then goes and sways Ezekiel's stance on the matter.

Yup, especially since Carol is seemingly the only person Ezekiel has actually "broken character" for.

Yeah any Walkers from the start of the apocalypse would be pretty much decomposed and unable to walk at this point.

Not to mention baked/waterlogged depending on location. In this case, there is plenty of both. Speaking of that, why is it we never see any goddamn rain? I don't remember any since Guts.

It rained in Season 5 when they were on the road for a couple episodes after blowing Terminus the fuck up. Then they ran into A-a-Ron.

All I know is that it rains a ton in that part of the country, year round.

But that theory raises questions though... There are walkers that have seemingly lasted for months and years where as decomposition would destroy their muscles in a matter of days or weeks at most. What prevents it? I guess you poke a huge hole in the idea of zombies with this idea.
