Been waiting for tonight for a long time. After all the false starts and general fuckery that has surrounded the Wyatts since their debut...

Couldn't be happier for Bray and couldn't give less of a fuck about whatever it took at the Rumble to get us here. Will watch the rest of the ppv later, only caught the chamber match.

If Goldberg hadn't already accepted the challenge (or said challenge hadn't been made), Fastlane would be a lot more interesting.

 

Don't bother with the rest of the PPV.

 

Wow, that was Becky Lynch's first 1-on-1 singles PPV win, including NXT. She's only ever won in tag matches or in the 6-pack challenge.

Kind of incredible to still be over when you never win feuds that way

 

i liked that ppv. Becky match, harper match, and chamber were all great. with the tag match being a cluster fuck....yet an entertaining cluster fuck.

HATE the naomi booking

 

PPV was about as good as I expected as this was basically a one match show. I thought everything except the Chamber was alright with some entertaining moments, but mostly average at best. Absolutely hate the Naomi booking as there was little buildup and it hurts the title to switch hands like that. The Chamber match was great as expected and I'm glad Bray went over strong.

 

Haven't seen the show yet but thoughts from recaps:

-Naomi is good and has always been good and it's great that she finally got a championship. And I'm not surprised that you nerds don't like her.
-Stoked about Bray, it's about time. Would have been so much cooler if @Henry hadn't spoiled it to the whole internet months ago.
-Cena's record was inevitable but seems p silly to have him drop it so soon after, feel like they should have held off unless he's really dialing back for a while.
-Luke Harper is bae.
-delvec, are you 11?

 

Actually excited to see Naomi's entrance if she has a match at WM. I expect nothing less than a Matrix Reloaded rave scene.

 

We all knew Bray was winning last night but him pinning both cena and aj clean is still something that has me shook in the best way possible

 

I think Naomi is decent in the ring, but she's always bugged me for some reason. Her character has always been super generic, over the top and boring. I think that's part of the problem. I don't mind her getting the title, I just think giving it to her with little buildup is mistake and weakens the title.

 

I dont understand the Cena 2 week title run in the least bit. Why not let AJ retain and then drop it in this nefarious way, with the last 2 being cena/bray, everyone assuming Cena would win and then you give Bray the big pin and an even bigger pop? AJ is still THE man for coming out on top with Cena, Bray gets a humongous pop for pinning Cena, ANDD Cena's 16th title story can be held off for something bigger down the road.

 

16 isn't really the story though....17 is. So now they can run that story whenever they want.

 

so they did it, just to get it out of the way? Sigh, yeah i guess. I just think there's time for all that. Cena's not retiring yet and it just holds so much better for everyone else involved. AJ, Bray, and the EC ppv itself all come out much hotter in the scenario of Cena losing to AJ.

but yeah, i guess they considered that breaking the record wold be the bigger deal so why not just get 16 out of the way

 

Plus, if I can fantasy book for a second, trying and failing is way more interesting than knocking out 17 on the first try. So now they have plenty of time for him to try, fail, question everything he believes because he just can't win the big one anymore, TURN HEEL TO GET TO 17, etc...A lot of flexibility

 

Also now both AJ and Cena have claims for a rematch, which opens a ton of possibilities

 

They are going to book Bray strong going into Mania. Clean wins over Cena and AJ would be fucking huge. It'll be interesting to see who they have Cena go over. I'm thinking Randy might win at Mania just for that ONCE IN A LIFE TIME match against Cena at Summer Slam for #17. It's the most sensible thing they could do given the history.

 

I dunno but for some reason it only seems noticeable on PPV pre-shows and never on Talking Smack or Raw/SD. Maybe to do with mic or something?

 

At least things are heading in a good direction with this title and SD in general.

Raw and the universal title on the other hand...

 

I want bray to retain at mania for many reasons, but one of the biggest has to be so he can go on good morning America with the title the day after
