Pre-ordered some shit today. Switch and Zelda, Horizon, Nier: Automata and Persona 5. Next couple of months are going to be fabulous.

I played a bit of For Honor with @lightning13 and it was still enjoyable.

We played against mostly AI and they still seemed tough. It did get me hyped if we won though so that was cool.

Yeah man AI are a real challenge in this game and I appreciate that a ton. I'm so used to AI being clumsy and irritating.

I'll take the AI being like that over the dude in multiplayer who kept trying to pick us up and throw us off.

It is now. After I unplugged it and plugged it back back in. It's weird though. Never happened before. :-/

Does anyone here think up games that don't exist that they would love to play? Been mulling over an idea for a game I would love to play if it was done right.

What do people who love Skyrim so much like about that game?

Genuine question, I'm not just trying to bash it. I just want to hear some explanations of what people like and what they find enjoyable in that game.

Mainly the pursuit of becoming rich and powerful, plus the world is beautiful, the lore is interesting, and the enemies can be extremely difficult at lower levels.

I don't play Skyrim much anymore, but when I did I loved the exploration mostly. There was so much to do an explore and it was really fun to kinda get lost while doing side quests.

That being said, that same thing also kinda bored me because there was only so much I could do and after a while a lot of the areas weren't "new" anymore and they all got kinda repetitive. So I eventually just kinda stopped playing.

  15. Character building and exploration, mostly. Some areas are fun to re-explore with different types of play styles.
Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild, and Dawnguard (or, more specifically, having Serana as a companion) are pretty great.
Main questline, Companions, Winterhold, Civil War, and Dragonborn questlines are pretty forgettable, though, tbh.

I like the typical Bethesda way in which the world seems to go on regardless of what I am doing or where I am, it helps me get immersed. It also has some great stories in it in the form of side quests, although the main story isn't great. I also like the setting and the atmosphere. A lot of the mission design isn't great though (fuck dwarven ruins), and neither is the combat. I still like the game a lot though.

I'm just a big fan of Elder Scrolls lore and the way Bethesda crafts their worlds. I've never been blown away by the stories, even though the side content has some really good stuff, but I find myself getting diving deep in and exploring in a way I rarely do in other games. They're far from perfect but there's something about Elder Scrolls games that I can just get lost in for hours.

Should finish Homefront this weekend. Near the end now.

Think I'll play the Agatha Christie ABC Murders or Headlander. Something short and linear feels needed.
