I found this sous vide fried chicken recipe I wanna try. You busy sous vide the chicken and then fry it so you don't have to worry about getting the chicken cooked all the way through in the fryer and instead focus on just getting the breading that nice golden brown.

I'm not normally a honey mustard or a bbq sauce guy. I prefer spicy stuff over everything. But as good as the Nashville Hot is, I think the Georgia Gold might be even better.

Closest Popeyes and KFC are about an hour away

I usually go to Chicken Express or Popeyes. Golden Chick is pretty good too

Don't usually go to KFC but I did try the Nashville Hot and Georgia Gold last weekend and both were pretty good

 

forgot to tell the thread that I tried the waffle chicken tenders at Popeyes a few days ago and they are well worth the hype.

I love KFC but I don't begrudge anyone who thinks it's gross, Popeyes is just better in every way and I think you will like it if you can ever get to one.

 

I have not. I'm not really a sweet guy, more savory, so they didn't entice me as much, but I still wanna try them.

I hope KFC keeps up the trend and tackles more regional flavors. I tried making my own Nashville sauce at home but it wasn't quite right. May try to replicate the Georgia Gold one soon.
