Jabari's injury is confirmed. Torn ACL again.

    Damn.

What was his first injury a few years ago?

Ugh. I'm hoping one day medical science gets to the point when we can just replace ACLs entirely without issue. What a shitty turn of events.

He's not only out the rest of this year, but will go through 12 months of rehab. So next year will be a wash too. Will likely never be the same player and/or live up to any reasonable potential he had before going pro. Real sad.

Such a bummer, I've always enjoyed watching Jabari. It sucks that he will never be able to live up to that potential.

  7. Everything is bad - Jabari will never be the same player. This dramatically alters the franchise for the next 3-5 years

    Seriously, fuck ACLs.

  10. Last night was probably Jabari's last game as a Buck unless he signs like a one year deal after next season

  11. Just gotta hope Thon Maker turns into the greatest NBA player ever now haha

  13. Hopefully we can get a top 5 pick and select a Ball or Monk

    THON, WE'RE READY

  15. At this point it doesnt even matter if he's a Buck or not in the future, I just want Jabari to recover strongly and still be able to be a decent NBA player

when parker is done with rehab he will just turn 23, hopefully he still carve out a productive role with whomever he ends up with after

  17. Yeah he will still be young but tearing the same ACL twice in three years is gonna give all 30 NBA teams pause. He can still be an average role player and make 10 mil a year for sure though.

  18. It's Anfernee Hardaway Grant Hill all over again

yeah, we're not gonna cut a player because he fucking tore his ACL you numbskull

he probably won't ever be the same player again. it sucks. he definitely won't live up to his potential coming out of HS/Duke. lots of players don't. it's really sad and i'm bummed, bc as much as i love giannis, jabari is probably my favorite player on the team -- but of course he will play again for the bucks

or they don't resign him when he's recovering from the surgery, in which case, fuck john hammond

  20. I never said we would cut him dude but teams are gonna hesitate to give him a long contract - the Bucks may give him a one year deal after next season but who knows - it's risky when someone has torn their ACL twice in three years

And depending on what happens this year and what players progress and who the Bucks draft this summer who knows if Jabari will fit into the future plans.

a core of middleton/giannis/thon (after about a year of seasoning) is still pretty good though.

It's kind of reminding me of grant hill except grant hill was a star and then he tore it. I mean he was a pretty good player afterward but not everyone can do that. Hope the best for him. Idk if the bucks can get a top 5 pick but the lottery is filled with guards so that's good.

  23. I wonder what his qualifying offer will be after next season

since he was the second pick, probably like 6-8 million

  25. If it's only that the Bucks will most likely keep him even after missing all of next season
