It is as good as it looks - nothing like it in board gaming right now.

Played 7 wonders duel for a second time. Played completely different than the first time I did. Me and my friend kept discarding cards that we knew would benefit each other.

Becomes a super mind gamey take that thing whereas the first time was more of I went for warfare the other guy went for science. Love it.

Got Race for the Galaxy in and some DC Dicemasters stuff as well this week.

Collection is outgrowing storage space hah.

Time Stories is awesome. My family and I have played the first story twice through so far without completing it. We're taking a break before we try a third time.

Great Western Trail is amazing, too. We've had that for two weeks now. The first time through from start to KC takes a while and is kind of confusing to understand all the symbols and strategy. I definitely thought the emphasis would be on having the most money at the end, but things like putting out the most buildings, stacking on San Fransisco, and investing in cowboys and workers are definitely more important.

My dad looooves Clank, I've played it once and didn't care for it, but I'm at their house today so I'm going to give it another go.

What's Time Stories about and like?

Would it be good for 2 players?

It comes with a starter story and it has expansion stories. You have characters to choose from with set abilities, and then you start off with a narrative and get to choose how it plays out based on your decisions and the cards you choose to or choose not to play and decisions you make on those cards. The map can expand and change as the story progresses. You only have a certain number of rounds to solve the mystery.

Played Twilight Struggle... didn't quite finish it even after 5 hours. Got to the end of midwar.

I really, really enjoyed it. The guy I played with suffered from Analysis paralysis. Excited to get a full game in.

Particularly excited for Assault of the Giants. Will be a nice change of pace from all the euros and 5 hour co op games.

The 2nd edition of Mansions of Madness is so good as long as you have a tablet/laptop to run the companion app on. We did scenario #1 on Sunday and having the computer play the role of DM made everything flow wonderfully. Can't recommend it enough.

On Sunday, it was 3 including myself. I want to say it could be doable with 2, as we survived easily enough... but we got really lucky on some of the crucial ability checks. Three is definitelty enough for a great time, though.

Yesterday I had my friend over and we just played games all day.

Played Spy Alley, then Dice masters for the first time, then X Wing Miniatures for the first time, then finally Marvel Legendary for the first time. It was a lot of fun.

I could see myself buying maybe one more Dicemaster set if any, tons more X Wing Miniatures because that game was amazing, and definitely a few Legendary expansions.

I've never played any of the flight miniature games like X-Wing, but we own the D&D knockoff Attack Wing, we bought it primarily for the dragon minis for our D&D campaign. How much surface area does it require? Worried my kitchen table won't cut it.

I think it's said 3 foot by 3 foot is the smallest area. You can buy playmats though that become the board and they seem very large.

I'm sure those are intended for when you have a lot of ships though

X-Wing is awesome. I only played it for a spell because it's kind of pricey and I don't really the mind for a dogfighting type game.
