I honestly think Punk is HIGHLY likely.

  2. What makes you think that?

I think maybe the following year. I don't think they are desperate enough for him this year. Not nearly as many injuries as last year plus Goldberg

no way punk is back this year. once his mma career officially fails then i could see it happening, but there would probably have to be a lot of things put into his deal to make it worth it to him

    - Meltzer says that there is a huge surprise that no one is expecting.
    - His MMA career is toast.
    - JR says he expects him to return to wrestling (though implied not with WWE)

I'm definitely blowing smoke, but I have hope!

  6. A huge surprise for WM?

So if that's true we'd see that person in the build up, right?

I don't think so. He said that he expects everyone to love whatever it is.

I would be so happy if Punk came back. He's always been my favorite wrestler

    I doubt it happens

Punk wouldn't likely come back given that the E is still struggling with the same old issue of putting part timers over workhorses.

but it'd be cool as shit to see Punk vs Zayn/Owens/Styles in the WWE.

  13. Is the surprise supposed to be Roman's opponent?

Because of course they'd ruin Punk's return with a Reigns match.

The surprise is the return of an army of Brodus Clay's dancing grandmas

    The Real Azor Ahai

The surprise is obviously gillberg returning and beating Bill for the universal title

Just cant see that happening. He's so perfect as a Smackdown part-timer. They'd have to trade Roman to Smackdown for that to work, otherwise they have two guys rolling the same flawless super gimmick.

That said, I can basically only see Braun or Roman beating Lesnar. No way its Joe. No way its KO. I'd love it to be Finn, but, thats a huge stretch.
Sadly true. I think we are gonna see so few standard matches in the undercard as they fill space. Probably be Enzo-Cass/Club/New Day or something.

If they aren't letting Bryan go one more match against the Miz, what the point?

Now I'm not saying he should, but what's the pay off here

The easy answer is that it makes the Miz an instant heat magnet, and as GM, Daniel can keep handing him tough opponents. Its basically a custom made story to use Miz as enhancement talent if needed, while also making any Miz title reign that much more interesting. Functionally, it elevates every storyline Miz has. Hell, it could be used to push Apollo Crews probably...

Basically the same, yet opposite, way Mick pushed Cesaro/Sheamus and Sami ahead.

In actuality, having the match would kind of kill one of them. If Miz loses, how can he ever stand up to Daniel again? And if DBry loses, it gets lorded over him forever. Whereas something like HHH/Seth doesnt have to hurt either guy. HHH can eat the loss and yet still be wildly powerful because of NXT. And he's a heel, so, heel authority always has another answer.

  19. It's a shame Bryan can't go because him and Miz would be fantastic.

  20. I would be okay with Roman Reigns turning heel and squashing Hogan

Aries vs. Neville is looking like a potential match for Mania.

That'll be such a good match.

Heel vs. Heel? Aries shouldn't be a face and neither should Neville
