  3. The artwork is from a series of color photos of Asbury Park, New Jersey in 1979 and 1980. Being from the area, I thought this was really neat. Also explains how they managed to get photos of the old Palace Amusements building which was torn down years ago.

I finally sat down and listened to this for the first time yesterday, alone, with headphones, just letting it wash over me. I don't even know what to say. Honestly, there are no words for how this album makes me feel coming right now, at this stage in my life. It's really speaking to me. These guys created something beautiful and undeniably great with this one.

Tellin' Lies is the best song they've ever written. Blown away by that song.

Not forming a list yet either but I think Tellin' Lies and Lookers are already locks.

Yeah, I don't want to rank with ATP songs until I let the honeymoon phase pass which may take a while) with the album and I get a sense of how it really sits within the catalog.

There isn't a single song I dislike on this, the Dave Hause record, or the Less than Jake EP, all of which were released on the same day.

I will say that I believe Lookers is a top 5 Menz song from a lyrical standpoint for me at the very least.

Yeah, Lookers is probably going to be Song of the Year for me. Fantastic song writing all over this record, but it's definitely the highlight.

I actually overplayed Lookers and have maybe only listened to it twice since the record leaked. It's an amazing song, but I beat it in the ground, dug it up, and then beat it in to the ground again. I practically had sha-la-las in my nightmares.

If I'm going to do any sort of list then I'm gonna have to go back and listen to Chamberlain (Late to the Game on That one) and Rented World again. I have barely touched those records in recent memory.

I fucking love After the Party though. I just think they are firing on all cylinders here. Like all the things they've done well in the past, they're doing the best they have ever been and all of whatever downsides they've had seem to be diminished. I think it'll hold up, but again only time will tell.

Most songs from RW are underappreciated... but now that it is sandwiched between two masterpieces it will likely always stay that way...

I thought RW was an improvement over OTIP. I always revisit RW and rarely OTIP even though there are some gems on there.

I do think that ATP is better than RW and OTIP.

RW is a little bit weaker than OTIP and not in the same league as this. I still haven't listened to CW but I plan on fixing that soon.
