    Cursed by my ancestry

When I was 19 I did. But then I didn't die so I guess that plan went out the window.

Not sure I follow what you're saying. An overdub is a big part of what separates a studio recording from a live recording. It's just recording over another recording. For example, you would overdub a guitar part if you played the wrong note on the first pass through. There are certainly plenty of overdubs on most recordings and our records are no exception. If we didn't, it wouldn't take 5 weeks to finish a recording.

Do you mean where vocalists will overlap half their phrases on a recording? Any part that would actually cross over gets sung by another member.

I interpreted that comment as meaning something like what Kenny does about 30 seconds into this song:

I wanna say the new Saosin record does that a ton with Anthony Green doing clean and dirty vocals.

That's just Kenny recording his own harmonies. A lot of times, lead singers will record their own harmonies for tightness/consistency. There are no issues with one person singing different vowel sounds then. We tend to record them as we would perform them live. Generally, Matt or I sing harmonies. There are a couple spots where we had Soup do an extra high harmony because he can sing the highest and it sounded cool.

If you mean like a singer singing an octave above or screaming behind themself like Mat from Citizen does a bunch, then I'm not sure of any spots off hand that we did that. That's mostly just a production choice to add something to a part.

I was referring to the second part. Thanks so much for answering. I don't know a lot about music but I shouldn't of used the word overdub. I didn't know though. But you answered my question very well. Thanks

Seeing these in Birmingham in Friday with Pup, Trash Boat and Tiny Moving Parts. Early contender for lineup of the year.

Honestly so excited for every band. Don't think I've been to a gig where I'm this excited for every band before.

I actually only know the new PUP album, need to check out their debut before the gig. Also don't know the first TMP album, but it seems they only play one or two from that. Luckily I know everything from TWY & Trash Boat.

Hey guys. I'm selling an old Wonder Years shirt from the Suburbia era if anyone is interested. It's a large and has a cowboy on it. Always been one of my favorite shirts because of the design but it just doesn't fit me that well any more.

Also trying to get rid of the Aaron West tshirt that came with the first album.

So I saw these last week. Really good but it reminded me that I didn't listen to No Closer To Heaven as well as I should have, so the title track and Palm Reader are songs I don't know as well. Going to be giving them a spin this week.

Also, when Tobi from Trash Boat came out to do the end of Came Out Swinging it was fantastic. Such a good show from all four bands.

Went to the London show, enjoyed it a lot as always. Seeing them in Barcelona too next week, was hoping they'd be changing up the set a bit but looks fixed on checking out setlist fm. Seen Devil in my Bloodstream far too many times now haha.

Always find how setlists are put together quite interesting. If I'd written songs as good as Coffee Eyes and Cul-de-sac I'd be loathe to leave them off.

Edit - PUP were great as well, shame they're not coming to Spain.

Master of not knowing what the hell I'm doing.

The Manchester show for this last night was great, so much energy from pretty much all bands and I got pretty emotional during a few TWY songs, mainly just because they caught me off guard with how much they meant to me. The only thing that was a hiccup with the concert for me was Trash Boat's set, they played fantastically but their fans at the gig seemed to be really aggressive and it was difficult to not be put off them as a result. Great night though!

I must admit as a big Trash Boat fan, they definitely got the most "aggressive" reaction as you say, which surprised me. Glad that you enjoyed the gig though.

I think I've seen this band like 30+ times now and I still get that way every time. Not going to write a long sappy thing right now, but TWY mean a hell of a lot to me and sometimes I forget that and it always hits me during their sets.
Anyway, I'm glad you had a great time. Must have been one hell of a show to see!
