I hit repeat on that one so many times while listening through the album. That line "tell your men I ain't afraid to die, if loving Julie is a capitol crime." So good

Thanks for this. I never actually knew they had two singers until I read it in regards to this record - they sound so similar to me.

Who sings what songs on ATP?

Greg: Tellin' Lies, Lookers, Midwestern States, Charlie's Army, Black Mass, Bad Catholics, Your Wild Years, After the Party, Livin' Ain't Easy

Tom: Thick as Thieves, House on Fire, Boy Blue, The Bars.

Tom is by far the better performer but how anyone tries to say he doesn't have the weakest songs is beyond me.

"Charlie's Army" gets stuck in my head more than any other track on here.

Yeah, I'm definitely with you there. Seems like they embraced that a bit this time around too, with Greg taking the majority of them...

Love House on Fire, but Tom's other 3 are probably in my bottom 3 on this record. And don't get me wrong, I 100% love this one start to finish. Been on repeat since Friday!

Every couple days I'm finding myself attached to a different song. I love when this happens! Fantastic album!

Pondering my top 10 songs of theirs, and ATP would have a big presence on it already, such a solid album...

Here goes nothin' (in no particular order):
    Your Wild Years
    Lookers
    Casey
    The Obituaries
I Don't Wanna Be an Asshole Anymore
    Transient Love
    Good Things
    Sculptors and Vandals
    Tellin' Lies
House on Fire / Midwestern States (it's a tie at the moment, sue me)

They certainly know how to write a solid Track 1.

EDIT: Forgot Gates... shit, this is too difficult. Forget it.

Charlie's Army is my favourite on here too. The best hook they've written in my opinion.

Time Tables still their greatest track though.

Yeah I'm surprised they didn't throw Time Tables in that setlist as well. I feel like that will be the only pre OTIP staple they have now

I will be VERY happy if the set is similar to that on this tour.

    Time Tables and Rivalries please

Agreed. Especially with a hometown-esque crowd, I'm surprised they didn't throw out an old track or two for them. Times Tables and I Was Born should be set staples for them anyway...but I'm biased since Chamberlain Waits is the album that I got really into the Menz with.

Fully agree, but now it's going to be harder for them to do that. I feel like RW is going to start dwindling down to only Asshole and Remission pretty soon though

That'd be nice. Throw in Rodent and we're good.

is this a reference to something? It sounds so familiar

I love Lookers, but I'd be interested to hear a version of it that never goes full band, just stays vocals and electirc like the opening verse. thoughts?

  24. It would be cool to hear an "On The Possible Past" type release for After the Party. Just acoustic demos and stuff for the songs.

top 10 menz is tough. The only things I'm really sure of are that Time Tables, After the Party and Lookers are in it. After that I'm going for this (in most recent to oldest order), but could change easily:

    Your Wild Years
    Nothing Feels Good Anymore
    The Obituaries
    Casey
    Gates
    Mexican Guitars
    Who's Your Partner
