I'm starting Tales of Zestiria today. I haven't heard the best things about it, but I've always loved the Tales series, but I'm three games behind now. (Xillia 1 & 2, Zestiria)

 

After adjusting to Siege, it's actually a lot easier than the Vegas games.

 

I owned Chrono Trigger for about 15 years before trying it. What a mistake that was.

 

It was one of the main games I always wanted to play but couldn't because it was only released in Japan and America until 2009 when it was released on the DS. I then got about halfway through and put it down for some reason and only picked it back up this week, ha.

 

I bought it as part of the Final Fantasy Chronicles set for the original Playstation but I only ever got that to play Final Fantasy IV. I was so obsessed with the series at the time that I never really played anything else for years.

 

Music is wonderful. I pre-ordered the OST from iam8bit almost a year ago and it still hasn't been released yet. The Blue/Purple variant is still available if you're interested.

 

I downloaded Fire Emblem Heroes last night and have been playing. Coming from someone who has never played a single game from that series, I dunno what I'm doing. But I summoned a 5-star hero which is apparently somewhat rare? So, yay I guess. Anyone else playing?

 

Ugh, you had to show me that lol. It's gorgeous and I don't need it. But.....

My cousins are coming over tomorrow and I'm stoked to finally bust out Overcooked.

It should be fun.

 

Batman Ep 3 finished.

Figured that Harvey meltdown would come, but not at Selina's, haha. I opted to let her keep the grapple gun, but I took her gadget to get even. Will see if that comes back to get me later on. I brought Lucius back to Wayne Manor because I can see that death now if he stays at Wayne Enterprises. I'm not familiar with Vicki Vale's character in the Batman universe so that end at the presser was quite a shock for me. Excited to get back into it!.

 

It's a good mobile game, but not a great FE game. It's a bit oversimplified for me, but that's better for newcomers; and better for playing on the phone.

 

It completely agree, though I would specify it as being a good Gacha mobile game, a genre which I generally hesitate to acknowledge as being capable of producing something that should be called "good".

 

Yeah, FEH is nowhere near as good as a proper Fire Emblem game but it's still exactly what I want from a mobile edition, some very light strategy and quick battles that vaguely resemble what the series does so well.

 

Game looks so fucking fun....cannot wait

 

Played more of The Last Guardian and I'm really not enjoying it so far.

I'm gonna finish the story just to see if it gets better story wise but the controls are absolutely the worst I've ever experienced and makes it a huge chore to trudge through

 

Ueda games are an acquired taste.

The people that like them really like them tho

 

So the controls are MEANT to be that fucked?

 

I don't think they're that bad at all. The only real problem I had in terms of the actual controls was trying to get off Trico was super annoying at times because he'd grab back on when I was trying to let go.

 

But yeah I think for the most part it plays as intended.

 

I had very few issues with the controls, but I also played TLG off the back of both Ico and SotC and the controls there are very similar. I think the biggest issue I had was getting used to the fact I didn't need to hold a grip button to stay on Trico because I had gotten so used to SotC.

 

Hold grip would have been a big improvement imo. It's what they were originally going for but people who tried the game said they didn't like holding on so they changed it. Boo.

 

Yes, it's all part of the intellectualization of a bad video game on the base an unhealthy personality cult ;D
