If the bucks can shed delly and teletovics contracts they should be good

 

Delly just needs to go back to Cleveland.

 

That game was insane. Was out to eat and they turned it out, I assumed the rockets would run away with it. Looked up a few minutes later and it was a five point game. Wow.

 

Hawks pulled a similar comeback against the Bulls a few days ago by going on a 19-2 run with 2.5 minutes left in the game. This comeback was more impressive though. What a collapse from the Rockets.

 

I said from Day 1 the Cavs were making an enormous mistake not matching for Delly. He's not worth it for other teams, he's not a guy who can go start for a mediocre team (no offense to Bucks fans) and help turn a team around.

He's a guy who fits well as a piece to a championship team, ideally coming off the bench, who provides much needed energy and hustle and he had great chemistry with LeBron. That alone should have been reason to match his contract, which compared to all the other crazy signings last summer, didn't even appear to be that bad of a contract. Obviously, the Cavs would have gotten killed by the Luxury Tax, but now they're in a position with absolutely no backup PG at all and your superstar whining about not having a playmaker/back up PG.

 

Going to see Bucks vs Nuggets tonight. Stoked to see Giannis in person.

 

I was gonna say I hope he has a great game but that would imply he has bad games

 

That sounds like an amazing game to attend. So many up and comers to watch. Jokic is quietly having a really really good season. Just doesn't play the bigger minutes to really get the love, but he is damn efficient with the minutes he does play. I still like Nurkic too, but both are becoming redundant in Denver.

Bulls in talks with Philly about possible Okafor trade. But the Bulls need an athletic point guard who can shoot. Was really hoping they'd get something together and go after Brandon Knight.

Not a terrible decision haha. I feel bad for Lopez and Lin. Lopez deserves so much more. I've always like Lin so thats why I feel bad for him.

 

Eh, it's been a longtime coming for me since they abandoned Jersey. I used to go to games all the time when I was younger back in the Jefferson/Kidd/VC days. they pretty much lost me when they made the celtics trade


also if the process works it's the biggest FU to the league.

 

Bummer man. I lucked out, a friend of mine got some through his company so they were real cheap (not that Nuggets tickets are hard to come by, of course).

 

Yeah, I am very pro-the process. The team and Hinkie were honest and up front with their fans about their vision. Everyone knew the deal. It just may not have been harped enough towards the end. But the fans bought in. Hinkie identified with the Sixers situation that you have to be all in on winning or rebuilding, even if it means trading recent draft picks that you've identified as not being difference makers. The league hated it and some got annoyed that Hinkie didn't like giving interviews about the same topic over and over again. Meanwhile, you have teams like Sacramento that can't manage their way out of a paper bag and truly have systemic issues from the team all the way up to ownership. But, because the team has found a way to be a success in terms of their books, nothing else matters. I really think Hinkie is a smart dude that should get another chance to GM. He seems like someone that actually adapts to a situation and not just talk about it while trying to shove a circle into a round hole.

 

I have no problem with tanking. You gotta do it in the NBA. Just the nature of the beast. That Nets pick is looking sexy though.....


Unrelated, but i'm in Boston so obviously i am seeing it up close. Is Isaiah Thomas getting any national play where you guys all are in terms of MVP love or in general just for how good he has been this year?

I would 100% trade it for the right player. But not Melo and not Love.

Thats good news. He's gonna be rusty as heck though (probably), but prob good enough to help them win 5 mores games Drew thinks they'll win.

 

I hope he is 110% because there is no point to rush him
