IMO, their entire discography is solid. I'd just start with Australasia and work your way forward. The Fire in Our Throats is my personal favorite by them so if you just want to check out one other album by them - that's what I'd recommend.

There's also one with the Lockin' Out lock on the back, as well as one without anything on the back.

I bought that shirt first time they played Richmond, many moons ago. Also got mardi gras beads.

there isn't a proper word for the setting sun.

Fire in Our Throats is so sick. That and At the Soundless Dawn by Red Sparowes were so big for me back in 2005.

almost went to see Sunn O))) headline Monoliths album back in '09 with Pelican as support I think it was iirc?. One of 5 or so concerts I regret not going to now that I'm thinking about it.

The only bad thing I have to say about the new Power Trip record was that it ended.

But seriously at the very end I thought it was about to hit this massive half tempo riff to take me out but it just ended, was bummed.

Been hearing Soul Sacrifice to open shows on live videos and shit for a minute though nice to hear it on record and damn is it dope.

I saw Pelican open up for Thrice and Circa Survive back in 08 on the Alchemy Index tour..and again in 2009 or 2010 playing a basement bar attached to an Ethiopian restaurant in the town I went to college in. Now that I live in their hometown, you think I would have seen them again since I moved here, but I somehow have missed every Pelican show that has occurred in Chicago since 2013.

The new Power Trip album is bonkers. I like it more than Manifest Decimation upon my first couple listens. That reverb that was on Riley's vocals at times during Manifest isn't as present or even noticeable which makes it a lot easier to listen to. Plus they've stepped their riff game up immensely.

I think if you can fault Manifest for anything (which is really really hard), is that the reverb is a bit excessive at times. So, I'm excited to hear that
