In Medias Res is such a good fucking song. Chills at the end every damn time.

 

the version they play of In Medias Res on their live album kill's me every time. The added lyrics to the bridge are some of my all time favourite lyrics at this point.

 

The end is probably my favorite part of any song ever, wish it wasn't so short

not a new song, but another underrated non-album track

 

Soooo I'm doing a feature on this band next month; an in-depth look at the Los Campesinos! discography, covering the six albums (including this one), as well as various b-sides and ephemera. Will link it when it's live, but I've been sent the new album for prep, and it's really, really fucking good. Damn.

Anyone want a track-by-track guide to the record? :)

Going back through their discog for the first time in years, Hello Sadness is soooo much better than I remember. Gonna do No Blues tmrw

 

I remember being slightly disappointed with Hello Sadness initially because the single (By Your Hand) is so much more upbeat and poppy than the rest of the album, but it's so good. My second favorite after Romance is Boring

 

pretty excited by this tbh

 

Personally, I think No Blues is their strongest album from front to back...

I'm pretty hyped for the new album.

i consider Romance is Boring to be the "Wowee Zowee" of their discography, thus their best album.

 

Only thing about this record is that I'll probably wait a minute for people on genius to explain stuff. 9 out of 10 LC! references go over my head - and there's a lot of em if this is like No Blues

 

I just assume anything I don't get is soccer related

 

No Blues is my favorite but honestly I don't think I ever really gave Hello Sadness a ton of time.

 

I love the occasional pro wrestling references as well. Kayfabe, Heel Turn. I'm sure there are more.
