Breitbart trained the media like dogs, and he was still doing so, on Thursday morning, from beyond the grave. People joked that they didn't know if his death was a hoax, and it's a certainty that some asked because they were afraid of telling the truth about someone by then literally incapable of hurting them. It was like watching a sick rerun of a Stalinist apparatchik sitcom, where one functionary was unwilling to believe another that The Leader is really dead, each presuming the announcement might be a trap.

I took it as a bit of hyperbole.
But I've seen reports on incoming executive orders allowing discrimination on the basis of religion, and Trump did say something about destroying the Johnson amendment this morning. Not really establishing a state religion, but concerning nonetheless.

 

I wonder how he would react if someone got in his face...I doubt his response would be considered 'tough.'

 

Fucking Duterte. I was in the Philippines visiting my family as he took office, and the parallels between him and Trump are fascinating and horrifying. I used to think that what's going on there could never happen here, but I'm honestly not too sure anymore.

My dad is incredibly religious. I'm hoping it comes up again because I'd like to use some Bible illustrations/laws that are in stark contrast to that type of thinking, but I'm too emotionally spent with life and politics as is to get in a heated discussion about it again.

it's fucking insane and heartbreaking that the country turned to him despite going through an autocrat like Marcos who of course Duterete calls "the best President." The fact that Trump cavalierly suggested he might ask Duterete for "tips on combating our drug problem" makes me sick.

Or when it became well known locally in Indy that he had separate condo near downtown for his mistress to live in. I'll give him credit. He does a lot of the things most athletes/celebrities engage in, but he surrounded himself with people that kept things relatively quiet. But he certainly has his flaws.
